  1. Hello Hopeishere, Good Luck on your interview. What school did you graduate with your BSN and when? I'm also a new grad and haven't had any luck with getting an interview.
  2. congratulations to you!!! what an accomplishment. thank you for the advice and being detail about the courses you took. i am so looking forward to start. your post just really motivated to do this!! as far as the loans…. look at the bright side…. you have a bsn after you last name. it worth it!!!!
  3. yes, i must say chamberlain was really straight forwarded and guided me with the whole admission and financial process. the fact that i could receive a bsn in 3 semester sounds really good to me. since i'm not working, i qualified for full financial aid. the rest i will be taking out loans. that’s the only way i could pay for it. also, at the beginning of the year i am going to apply for some scholarship in hopes to get some more help. hopefully, in the meantime i plan on continuing to apply to jobs and if i land something i could start saving up and once i'm done with school, i could put good amount on the loans. hoping for the best! i wish you all the best at wgu!!
  4. Hello, I will be starting Oct 24 with Chamberlain online and I wanted to get info about 2 classes I will be taking. Transition into Professional Nursing Advanced composition Here are some questions, I would like to get additional info on. a... What are some of the requirements for theses classes. b... How many hours of study time did you put in on each class. c... How are the exams??? if exams were not a requiment then how do we get graded? d... Finally, what did you like most and least of each of theses classes. I know, tons of questions, but I wanna get a feel for these classes before I start. I never took online classes and just not quite sure what to expect. Ooooh, I have 2 girls one is 13 and little one is 7 and I'm not working. Do you guys think I could and another course???? if so what course would you recommend? I need to get this BSN right away. No one is hiring in the NYC area without a BSN and even those with a BSN are having trouble too. Thank you in advance, cmo701
  5. @seniorrn how long did it take you to finish? Any advise? I will be starting next month! Very anxious and excited.
  6. @babe48076 cool! Maybe we will be in the same class. I plan on taking two classes as well! Not sure which ones yet, I'm still waiting for the admission advisor to get back to me. Good luck!
  7. @ lishahb13 & babe48076 I'm also starting the 24 th of October! Very nervous and excited! How many classes are you guys taking? I'm from NY, where are you guys from?
  8. Hi Diana, Did you get a call yet?
  9. Yes, I applied for the day program. how about you?
  10. i just got a call right now. I was accepted. good luck to you
  11. I think they are calling by last name three of my friends received a call today all 3 have 4.0.
  12. yes, i heard the same thing. my friend just called at told me that she recieved a phone call literally 10 mins ago. I'm still crossing my fingers
  13. Hi guys, I am also waiting along with 3 of my friends that attend BMCC. If I hear anything I will post as well. From my understanding when i spoke to Mr. Sierra he said he would call either the first or second week of June. By the way i think its much easier to get in the evening program with less applicant than the day program. I thought the GPA for last year's evening program was a 3.68 and for the day program 3.77. If I do get accepted to the clinical i will only need to take micro and will not be taking it with my clinical i will take in the summer of 10. Micro is not offered in the winter at bmcc. Good luck everyone
  14. Hi frogdream, Thanks for the info and congrats on completing your 1st nursing course. I'm crossing my fingers hoping to get accepted into the program for fall. I have 1 more week of waiting.
  15. Hi, Diana sg I overheard other potential nursing students talking about a dosage calculation math examation needed in order to go to the hospital. Not sure how true this is. If I find out any additional info, I will let you know. Cmo
