2019 Fall Enrollment for Nursing (Hillsborough Community College)

Published

Hi!

I wanted to start a board for the fall enrollments for 2019 for the Nursing Program! I have been on other boards for previous HCC entries and find it super helpful and encouraging to hear from others experience as well as overcoming challenges in the process. I plan to apply for the fall class for the nursing program at HCC! I take the TEAS this Monday, fingers crossed all goes well. I look forward to hearing from future classmates! Please, feel free to share and ask questions!

An advisor at HCC southshore told me the same thing, 3.6

oh wow, i know it varies each semester, i wonder if it would be higher or lower for fall than spring

I do too. It’s going to be a long month and a half of waiting!! ?

I think it’s going to be more competitive this semester. I applied to USF nursing program but I didn’t get in so this is my back u plan.

I just spoke to admissions and they said it has been between 3.4-3.5 cutoffs

What campus is that for? Nursing pretty competitive

Dale Mabry, I know it can be but Ive seen 3.3-3.4 getting in. Which is why I called nursing admissions directly, information from advisers at this campus is unreliable based on my past experiences.

Hi everyone. I am also applying for fall. Did anyone here apply to USF ? Or is trying to do the hcc USF concurrent program?

Hi Sammy,

I plan on doing the HCC/USF concurrent program. I recently spoke with an advisor at HCC and USF.

Basically, if you start the nursing program with HCC, after the first semester you will receive an invite from USF. The requirements for the potential invite is passing your first semester with satisfactory grades. Once you get the invitation/ attend the USF orientation you will start taking classes at USF as a non-degree seeking student. Keep in mind, all cost will be out of pocket for USF because you are attending their campus as a non-degree seeking student until you complete your program at HCC. Upon graduating from the HCC program, you have 3 months to pass the NCLEX. During that time frame, if you pass the NCLEX as well as have all the required pre-req's for USF; you will be admitted into their BSN program. The link below provides detailed information on what else USF may require during your dual-enrollment period/ what the curriculum break down looks like during that time. If you have additional questions, let me know ?

Hello All,

I submitted my application about two weeks ago. Does anyone know how long it normally takes for the admission office to review the documents? Or at least, share how long your own process has taken to hear back from the admissions office? I have this super irrational fear that my application will go missing. Again.... Irrational!

I applied for the Dale Mabry campus/ Nights and weekends or Daytime. Either or would work for me. Hopefully, my job will be willing to work with my school schedule.

Hi Christie,

When I turned in my application I also included a self addressed envelope with a stamp and I have received it back in the mail showing my application was received. Did you include one as well? I don't think we will hear anything regarding our applications until after the deadline.

I submitted mine 2/21 and it’s showing received on web advisor
