2019 Fall Enrollment for Nursing (Hillsborough Community College)

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi!

I wanted to start a board for the fall enrollments for 2019 for the Nursing Program! I have been on other boards for previous HCC entries and find it super helpful and encouraging to hear from others experience as well as overcoming challenges in the process. I plan to apply for the fall class for the nursing program at HCC! I take the TEAS this Monday, fingers crossed all goes well. I look forward to hearing from future classmates! Please, feel free to share and ask questions!

@yrosabal yes! Lol I cnt believe this, I almost gave up and ddnt reply with the form but I was like ... you know what ? I will fill this form out and send it to them. My place on the waiting line was 21 so I was like there is no way 21 students will cancel their spots, and t happened ! I still cnt believe it

Yayayayy! Congratulations! I would be super excited if I was in your shoes. Happy for you!

So I just found out I got chosen from the alternate list. I got put in dale mabry cohort 3. I assume that is the evening/weekend schedule??? However, I saw someone said they got into dale mabry cohort 4, so I am not sure. Im a firefighter, so the faster I found out the better, that way I can start swapping shifts and planning vacation time now.

Yes - cohort 3 is at Dale Mabry nights and weekend. I'm in the same one.

Does anyone know the details about the evening schedule? The course days and times are on HCCs website, but i'm not sure if those can change. For example, the clinicals are on saturdays from 7am to 230pm, but ive heard that you can possibly schedule them on sundays too, or at different times one of those two days. Ill be going in tuesday to talk with them in person to find out, but the sooner the better since time is so important for me.

Hi @Kyle Gerdes

who do you talk to when you wanna ask about clinicals ? I would want to check if I can do more clinicals on the weekends

thanks

Email Health Sciences

I talk to the nursing advisors. There are two of them. I wonder if we can switch cohorts as long as its on the same campus. The email just stated we couldn't switch campuses. Cohort 2 was what I was trying to go with, but if clinicals can be flexible, that would help a lot too.

Hey guys, I’m going to apply for fall 2020,

my pre req GPA is 3.48

I’m anticipating doing well on the TEAS. Will I get in with that pre req gpa or am I wasting my time?

I will be applying for Spring 2020 Dale Mabry days. For those who are in the days cohorts, what is the class and clinical schedule like?

its all about your gpa. getting a higher score on teas wont help with admission, its only your gpa.

Yeah most of us show "not received, under review" and I have an anticipated date of 6/20/2019. As for orientation all I know is that it takes place sometime in July.

Hi. I applied for the fall 2020 class and I was wondering if anyone would know if these means I possibly got in. Under progress towards degree my anticipated completion date changed to 05/14/2022. Thank you in advance ?
