Drama queens. They lurk in every corner. Waiting to make your life a living hell. Always b-----ing about something. Always stirring up sh--. And those crocodile tears come flowing if something doesn't go her/his way. You know who you are. Come out and be set free. Drama queens no more.
Peace out!

Aint it the truth, but if you take it with the right grain of salt, then you lust laugh at them and let them go bother someone else. Remember KISS, keep it simple stupid.
Life is too short to worry over drama queens, male or female. Just laugh at them and watch them go away.

Sounds to me like you're describing a ***** rhymes with witch.
To me a drama queen is the one who always is having a rough assignment. Every little thing is a big issue. "OMG he had a PVC!" "OMG there's blood in the IV tubing!" "OMG his BP is 114/54!". "OMG I'm so busy, I haven't even charted yet!". "I'm calling to doctor for this temp of 99.0!!"
Now that's drama.

Or the one who keeps coming up to you to tell you all about THEIR medical problems. A new one every week and you suspect they are healthier than you. It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't do this when this is the only time you have to use the restroom. But there they are again and your bladder feels like bursting.

When our drama queen start going into their act, I will sometimes say "I know what you mean, my 13-year old daughter was saying the very same thing last night.."

I swear there's one in every job!!.....I overheard "ours" last week in the clinic talking to a patient as she was checking her in, vitals and such, the patient was there for an endometrial biopsy, which we are all sure will be malignant, and the drama queenie says "I know EXACTLY how you feel, I have to have THIS biopsied tommorrow!!...I'm soo terrified!!"....and then she goes into the fake cry/martyr bit.....well, the "THIS" that she whipped down her pants to show the patient (in the hallway) is a FREAKIN' SKINTAG!!!.....I wanted to run over there and slap her, I swear!!....They ALWAYS have to "one-up" whatever is happening around them!!

One thing about the DQ's: they are always good for a laugh. I used to work with one that was always telling us all about the terrible things that had happened to her that week(we worked weekend option together, so she had all week to have so many adventures!!) She finally shut up for awhile when someone pointed out to her that she had already told us twice within the same year that her mother had died that week.
