Drexel ACE Fall 2010

Has anyone heard back from for the fall 2010 class? My husband attended the info session for me a few weeks ago (he works in Philly and I had to work late), and he loved the school. On their website it says you have to have 7 pre-reqs completed prior to applying, but then it says they will not review transcripts until after you are accepted. Does anyone have any info on this?

I'm trying to find the contact info of a kind ACE program graduate who might be able to answer a few questions for me. Any takers? Would really appreciate any help I could get....

I'm applying for ACE for Spring of '11. I was trying to find info somewhere on about the average GPA that they accept people with? Also, there was no space for letters of reccomendation or clinical experience or research publications on the application. Does anyone know if they consider that at all or if its just grades?

I applied for Spring 2011 also, the priority deadline is tomorrow. But it's so far away I am sure they are still taking applications for that semester after that date. As far as I know it's only based on grades. I did not submit anything but my transcripts and the online application and they considered my application complete.

They only consider your grades and that you have completed at least 7 of the prereqs before applying.

I the PM section on this site is pretty confusing. well lets keep waiting to see what happens. So will they consider ppl on the waitlist for next quarter if they don't make it to the fall class? The advisor gave me a long answer when I asked her. She was not straight forward with her answer!

The funny thing is that they say they will not evaluate your transcripts until you are officially accepted. But by determining whether you have completed 7 of the prereqs, isn' t that what they are doing anyway?? :confused: It's not like we are able to list in the application which ones we have completed from the list. The application does not even give enough space to list more than one college attended, so how do they even know you have submitted transcripts from all colleges attended?

Maybe I am asking too many questions .... :p

I'm not quite sure but I think there was a question asking how many schools you have attended. I just know that they sent me a letter stating that they were waiting for my second transcript. And I am pretty sure that they at least glance at your transcripts before accepting ppl.

Yeah, I asked the school about that too, and they said they'll give some people a spot on the spring cohort, and others not. I guess it just depends on how many people are on the waitlist, whether the fall class is full, etc.

Are you on facebook? All the recent cohorts seem to have facebook pages. You could search for ACE Fall 2009's page and message folks who are more than halfway through, if that helps.

Well, I was under the impression that everyone on the waitlist would be given a chance to enter the spring class if they don't make it to the fall quarter. I searched 's website and found the contact information for the individual who makes the waitlist decisions. I was thinking about calling her and ask her the number of applicants on the waitlist and other neccessary questions. What do you think??

To people applying for the spring:

One of the admissions people I talked to when I was applying told me to use the essay space to share my plan for completing the pre-reqs. I listed the courses I had completed, the grades I got in those classes, and the course #s for the university at which I was planning to take the remaining classes.

The essay is definitely not a required part of the ACE application, but I thought the pre-req plan was a good supplement, kind of a proactive self-evaluation.
