Drexel ACE Fall 2010

Has anyone heard back from Drexel for the fall 2010 class? My husband attended the info session for me a few weeks ago (he works in Philly and I had to work late), and he loved the school. On their website it says you have to have 7 pre-reqs completed prior to applying, but then it says they will not review transcripts until after you are accepted. Does anyone have any info on this?

For those who have been accepted and have submitted their deposit...

Have you gotten anything back yet? I mailed my deposit in almost 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything, I expected to get some sort of confirmation back.

Also, has anyone gotten info about financial aid? I submitted FAFSA and other schools gave me my award estimate, but still nothing from Drexel...which is the school I need it for!

Lastly, for housing, I'm definitely looking to find a roommate to socialize with and help cut down with housing cots. I'm coming from California and would love to find someone semi familiar with the area and who considers themselves a good roommate:) PM me if interested at all!

If I get accepted, I'll be looking for a roommate as well! I'm also from Cali. Originally SD and now living in LA. Will PM you if I get some good news this week...

I just called my admissions counselor and she just gave me the GOOD NEWS! Yay!

BCH- It took me about a week to get the letter in the mail after the website said I was accepted. Good Luck!

I mailed my deposit and got a letter about my matriculation, my transfer credit evaluation from Peggy Breslin, and a subsequent welcome packet. It included the vaccine form (which gets mailed back once completed by your physician) but nothing about financial aid. I think I read that, during the accepted student orientation, they mentioned that financial aid packages will go out sometime this month.

Is one able to get a transfer evaluation before an acceptance? I would like to know so that I can plan to take certain required prereqs accordingly.

Question for anyone who was still taking pre-reqs at the time of applying.. Did you have your profs send/email your current grade in the class? or does it probably not matter

It does not matter, as long as you have the minimum coursework completed from the list at the time of application. My current school's transcript clearly states microbiology as "in progress" so I think that's all they need to know for now.

I'm just wondering since I only have Mico finished as far as the science pre-reqs.. Don't know if they will want to wait to see what I get in A&P1 this semester before making a decision..

Well, according to their admission requirements, you need a minimum of 1 science prereq completed among the 7 completed prereqs just to apply, so you should be OK. Not sure whether another grade beyond the minimum 7 will place you better in the admissions process. I find it odd that the transcripts are evaluated AFTER you're accepted, which makes me wonder how do they determine that you have at least 7 completed prereqs WITHOUT evaluating transcripts in the first place?

That is odd. Maybe they just don't tell us formally what we still need to take (and by when) until after we're accepted?
