Has anyone heard back from for the fall 2010 class? My husband attended the info session for me a few weeks ago (he works in Philly and I had to work late), and he loved the school. On their website it says you have to have 7 pre-reqs completed prior to applying, but then it says they will not review transcripts until after you are accepted. Does anyone have any info on this?

Anybody on the waitlist heard anything yet??

Didn't they say that if you were waitlisted that that meant you'd have the opportunity to join the Fall 2010 class should someone drop and if not that class then the Spring 2011 class? Or did I misunderstand my admissions counselor :p I actually haven't heard official word yet but she did discuss something along the lines of this to me earlier this week.

I called earlier this week concerning those of us on the waitlist, and I was told they wouldn't start comparing our applications till at least a week or two later because the person that's in charge of that won't be in the office all of next week. Looks like we've got a pretty long wait ahead of us...

Another week seems forever!! Well the official letter they sent listed that they would start notifying people by later spring or early spring..! Does anyone know if they will be comparing application for the people on the waitlist or will they be considering it on a rolling basis??

I was told by my admissions counselor that they'd be comparing all waitlist applicants. :uhoh3: *sigh*...

I'm sure they are waiting for everyone who has received their acceptance letter to send in their $500 payment. I was accepted and I have until April 8th to send it in....

Not that this relieves any of the anxiety of being wait listed, but there will be one extra spot opening up. I'll be dropping my seat soon for UMDNJ Summer '10 instead.

Hello all,

Wanted to say thank you to all of the ACE program graduates for helping us new folks out. I currently live in Philly and work for CHOP. Two things:

1) Could someone please outline a typical week for an ACE student? Days of class? Clinicals? Hours of each?

2) Anyone put any more thought into housing? I may be interested in finding a roommate but I am little worried about ending up with someone crazy. I would like to live in Center City (I already live on 10th and Arch near Chinatown but will be finding a new place before the program starts).

P.s. You can PM me regarding the housing situation if you want...I guess this will avoid everyone having to read through tons of unwanted posts.

Hi everyone,

I got accepted into for the fall but am having some issues regarding the prerequisites. I have completed physiology already, but it did not have a lab component so I have to retake that class by August 1st. I also did a microbiology with chemistry course (with lab), which they are stating they won't accept because its a combination course. However, only the first couple weeks dealt with chemistry and the other couple months were all microbio. I don't understand how if the course I took covers all the microbio material a strictly microbio with lab course would, how they expect me to retake that as well just because the title says chemistry in it. I've been in contact with Peggy Breslin but am just afraid I'm going to have to spend more money on taking classes I've already taken! I also have to take nutrition so thats three classes I have to do before August 1st, and I'm stillp a full-time student graduating in late May. I'm also spending half my summer in Long Island and the other half in Philadelphia which makes it even harder to do any classes in person, so online is probably my only option but most of those don't end until August 12th!

Has anyone had the same issues and was there a way you were able to get around them?

Any advice or input would be great, thank you!

My application was complete on March 5th and I just heard back today, so a little over 3 weeks. Good Luck!
