Like, you may only have been in for 2 months but it feels like 2 years. Things that happened like 3 weeks ago, seems like it was a year ago? I am almost finished with my first year, my first day was approximately 8 months ago, take out winter break, thanksgiving break and spring break, it's been close to just over 6 months of actual school. Yet it seems like the first day was eons ago.
Besides having my kids, nothing else has seemed to have gone by like this for me. But with my kids it's been the opposite, meaning how fast they grow up. It seems like I was just so over the moon to find out I was having a little girl after 3 boys and she just turned 3.
Anyway, just wondering if it felt this way for anyone else or if it is just me.

not just you, i was talking about this to some other students the other day. people always said it would fly by and i was like yeah i'm sure, but it really does, it's crazy. i guess with just being busy and on the go all the time, time really flies away.

I feel the same way kinda. I graduate in 44 days (but i'm not counting). When I think about the first day of prereqs it seems like it was 20 years ago, but in the same sense it has gone so fast. I think its because we are so busy doing so much. Secondly, I think it feels like 20 years ago because we change so much along this journey that it seems like we are different people from when we started (which we are).

For me the time went so fast! I feel like I should still be in level one (where I was at this time last year) but here I am getting ready to graduate and am scared out of my mind!
I remember even in my first semester, we had this one seminar thing we has to go to, about 3 weeks later we were turning in our project from that seminar and it literally felt like it was a year ago that we had that seminar. It is going by fast, but at the same time, the other stuff just seems like so long ago. To where with like my daughter, it seems like just the other day.
It's crazy LOL. I can't believe I am almost done with my first year, and it does seem like it wasn't that long ago I was posting on these boards about who all was starting with me in the fall. At the same time, it seems like that was also eons ago.
Maybe nursing school makes you crazy LOL

Time is weird in nursing school. When I'm in the middle of a semester, it feels like time could not be moving more slowly (like right now!). But on the other hand, our orientation/welcome reception was almost 3 YEARS ago, and it seems like it was yesterday! I know before I know it graduation will be here (just 5 more weeks!) but it feels like time is moving so slowly right now.
Time always moves dreadfully for me in the spring. I am just so ready to be on break and enjoy the warm weather and the sunshine that I hate being cooped up in class all day long! In the winter I hate going out in the snow and blistering cold, but it's not quiet the same as when spring arrives. Then to make it worse, our rooms are kept at like an ice box temperature so on the warm sunny days you still have to dress for winter so you don't freeze in class :|

So, what's the conversion? You know how 7 human years = 1 dog year..is it 1 Nursing School month =1 year?
That sounds about right. Or maybe 2 months to a year. LOL
Do we age that much too in nursing school? I hope not.
I don't know, I did get my first grey hairs and my first wrinkle in nursing school :|

I got mine in my science pre-reqs. I can't wait to see what the ABSN I start in 3 months does to me
