Do quick results ever come faster than 48 hours?

I took NCLEX this morning and this wait is killing me. I mentioned doing the PVT thing to my hubby and he said "don't you dare do that". I'm terrified the results will be false and I'll either be devastated or thrilled wrongly. I plan to do the quick results. But out of curiousity do the results ever come faster than the 48 hours?

Some state BONs post in 8 to 12 hours (and others take a month) so depending on where you are, you may be able to get them much sooner. Keep checking your BONs website.

As for quick results, mine took about 45 hours, I have heard of them being either early or late by a few hours, but not by much.

I'm sure I read about the odd person here and there who got it a half hour, maybe an hour beforehand, but all-in-all, you should expect it to be just about 48. I guess if you want to see if you can get it a bit earlier there's certainly no harm done!

Once the results become available, plunk down the eight bucks for the OFFICIAL results....and good luck! :)

I took mine Thursday morning and got results Saturday morning so not before 48 hours. Depending on when your area posts on BON you could see your license show up before the results. I had a friend who took the exam Tuesday and saw his license on BON Wednesday and then got quick results Thursday. I did the pvt trick and it did ease my mind a little to get the good pop up before I got the official results on Saturday but I knew to take the pvt lightly. If you do the pvt you have to enter all your cc info and press submit to get the good pop up. I was discouraged the first time I did it because i thought if they let you ever in your cc info at all that means you failed (not so).

In WI we don't even pay for quick results, We all had results in 24 hours or less anyhow.

Here, you're license is usually posted within hours of finishing the NCLEX. My coworkers have usually found out the same evening.

I took my NCLEX at 0800 this morning and FL BoN hasn't posted anything yet. FL has been known to post after 24 hours of testing. The first time I took it, I took the exam at 1100 and I saw the FAIL status around 0630 the next morning on the FL BoN website.

I don't think that the quick results come sooner than 48 hours. It will be close.

I also understand the pressure you are feeling because I am feeling it as well. I did the PVT and received the "good pop up." I am hesitant to believe it since some people on here are stating to wait for 24 hours to take advantage of the PVT.

I wish you luck and hope we both pass NCLEX and we can move forward with our lives.

So BON result is more accurate no matter how soon after taking the exam, is that right?

Absolutely as the BoN is the entity that issues the license

Each state is different. I would Google your state and see what others have said about it.

I did the PVT trick the same day (so less than 24 hours) and got the good pop up. Go ahead and try it!

Your first score was a 'pass'...Yay! And luckily so was your second score ? Unfortunately, there are those who have not been so lucky, and get a 'good pop up' but eventually find out they failed. And vice versa.

My point in all the cautions is to save people some heartache; all the PVT tells you prior to 24 hours is what ONE score is....and since 50% of a result is no result....well, there you have it.

I took NCLEX on a Tuesday at 1pm. I had my alarm set for Thursday 3 pm to check quick results but around 1130 Thursday morning I had already received my email from the BON that my official results were in. So I got official results in less than 48 hrs.

PVT is 99% accurate.
