It is dependent on the program because not all nursing programs require the TEAS test.

It definitely depends on the school. The one I'm trying to get into requires a successful score on the NLN. I "think" I even heard of one that has no entrance exam requirement.

Dependent on the school for sure.

Some schools require the HESI, some the TEAS. Not all schools administer these exams, but most require them for acceptance, even if they don't administer them.

It is very program dependent. As a high school senior her program only required the SAT

Depends on the program. I guess the next question is who doesn't require it ;-)

Not all nursing programs require the TEAS exam.
Other pre-entrance exams commonly used by nursing programs include the HESI, the NET, the NLN-PAX, the TABE, the HOBET, and the PSB.
I took the TABE prior to enrollment in a practical nursing program, and the NET prior to admission in an LPN-to-ASN transition program.

In Oregon, many schools here require no entrance exams. As memory serves, there are only 2 programs that include an exam as part of their admission requirement. They do, however, have a proctored essay requirement...

In nh all of the community colleges are part of the same system but they each require a different entrance exam. Such a drag.

Where I live, schools here vary. My school requires the TEAS, one school I want to go to for BSN doesn't require the entrance tests, some of the more rural schools require tests I have never heard of to be honest. Very dependent on the schools themselves.
