Do you notice trends with your student visits?

I do! And they come in 3s, too.

Today is a rash day. Three rashes so far, but I have a few hours left in my day still.

This week has been a reptile bite week?!? We have a biology teacher who lets his student handle the reptiles he keeps in his class. It's always good fun when you call home to tell mom that Susie got bit by a snake on the back of the neck in biology class. I've had 2 this week (one snake bite and one lizard-ish bite).

At the beginning of April I had cardiology week. One student with a dx of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (no incidents at school thank GOODNESS!!) and 2 students on cardiac monitors at school.

Do you notice these trends/themes as well?

So far in the past 2 weeks, I've had "red eyes" day (can't magically get that pollen to go away), "I peed my pants" day, "I lost a tooth" day (those I can handle), "asthma" day, and "head bump" day.

I've often wondered this myself!!!

Today has been back pain day.

I honestly think a student was expecting me to send her home today because her back has hurt since Sunday, with no specific injury.

saltine cracker day

Today is "ice for invisible injuries" day.

That's every day here. Drives me batty!

saltine cracker day

Farawyn, I sometimes think we may be of one mind. Saltine requests/stomachache requests come in waves together, usually from my middle school kids.

And if I have graham crackers, word gets around. Suddenly several kids "aren't eating lunch" and "need" graham crackers.

Yesterday was "fall in the mud" day...

I've had Vomit Day Parts I and II last Thursday and Friday!! So fun!

Bumping this thread. Ever since I read this one I have noticed every day has a "theme".

Today is tummy ache and barf day.

Yesterday was sore throat day.

Day before that was muscular/skeletal

and before that was bug bite day.

Oh the joys!

Today the specialty is:

"I threw up a little in my mouth."

Oh, that was my specialty today!!! That and a sore throat that "just started".

Today is change of clothes day.

Had TWO kids come in from 1st and 2nd grade who coincidentally peed their pants at the same time in different classrooms..

Seriously, what are the odds of that happening?

Today was fainty middle school girl day.

One day I had "poked myself or friend poked me with a sharp pencil" day. Two eyes, a palm and a thigh. I was sure the kids huddled and planned that one out on the bus that morning.
