I took the Hesi and got a 890. Did anyone else here take the hesi? If so what was your score and then, did you pass the NCLEX? thanks!

I did. It was required in our 3rd semester-and on that one I got a 1052. Then it was required for graduation, and I got a 893...considerably lower because I was precepting at the same time, had a theory test each week on top of it and was bone @ss tired.
I passed the NCLEX first try, 75 questions. Studied for it the same as I did for both HESIs

Hesi was required @ school. Midway thru school, I got a 950. Then the last semester I got 903.
I took the NCLEX this past Saturday and passed :monkeydance::monkeydance:....
had 75 questions.

We had to take HESI in order to graduate. The first time I took it, I did so bad that I won't even mention what I got. It was less than an 800 though. The second time around I got an 1100... I guess I was just more comfortable with the material on the 2nd test?

We were required to get over 875 at our school and it took me three times. My scores were 744, 849, then 910. I passed the NCLEX on my first try.

HI swtoothRN and newgrad! What did you guys do to get such high scores? Please tell me every single detail that you did in preparing, because I dont understand hesi rationales.
I am so scared, i take the exit hesi in Novemeber. Anyone please point me in the right direction!

I ended up doing so well the 2nd time around because I decided to invest in the "official" HESI NCLEX-RN review book. It's the one with the red and green cover. I had four days between the test I bombed and the retake. I went through the book and looked over procedures and things that I knew I was weak on and basically skimmed the whole book. And I prayed... a lot. Since each test is different, some of it does have a lot to do with luck. You might end up with some random questions that you just happen to know the answer to. Good Luck!
BTW I really did not think HESI and NCLEX were anything alike.

took hesi on the last semester scored 965 1st try. then took NCLEX on tuesday july 10, found out today i pass with 75 question. all you can do to study for the hesi is do Q&A question, i think that's the only way to study for that exam same way to study for the nclex.

Hi twilight
I take mine next month. We have 3 tries at it or else..... degree
I have been doing Saunder's questions. I have the HESI study guide and have done the CD but find the rationales very vague and plain weird. What score must you get to be passing @ your school? Ours wants a 900. I do awesome on Saunder's though-so go figure.
I have been praying each and every day plus doing about 100 practice questions a day. I will let you know if it worked or not since you take your exam later than me
Also, if you dont' have the review guide.....I can mail you mine once I get this thing over!
Good luck
Honestly I did nothing to prepare for HESI. Ours did not count as pass or fail, it was just meant for the school to see how they were doing and for us to assess our chances of passing NCLEX.

So I guess the hesi review guide is a good way to study? Is the hesi and Nclex similar?
