  1. For patho I did not buy a pocket book. I memorized the notes verbatim for exams.
  2. The north Texas nurse practitioner organization has a website for preceptor. But you have to become a member to view the list. Also Texas nurse practitioner organization has a preceptor section also. Membership to tnp is free for 1 year if you are a np student.
  3. I have not heard that there is a different.
  4. I took theory several semesters ago at the Dallas campus. I only remember two books. One book was to help you construct a theory and the second was for reading assignment/quizzes.
  5. Im currently in fnp school part time and work 3-10 and a prn job. I am married with 2 small kids. It's extremely hard, an individual must be able to manage their time. I will start clinical in the spring. God has help me make it this far, he will help me to continue this journey.
  6. Good advice. I will be taking the course in the fall. I was wondering if it was hard.
  7. I do not know anything about cooks. But have you looked into children's in Dallas. Their program is great and you will get a lot of experience.
  8. I have been told that there are 3 exams in the class. I also heard its manageable and the class meets once a week.
  9. Just out of curiosity... What is wrong with msu?
  10. Have you tried children's Dallas?
  11. I have a 3 yr old and 3 month, i go to school part time and work. It's very hard, but if you stay organize and have a good support system it can be done.
  12. No. I didn't even know they offered a patho online and I also do not no anyone that has taken it online. Have you taken any other pre req for the n. P program and will they let you take the online rather then the in class lecture.
  13. I took the in class lecture. It's a lot of material to learn. Most people took theory and patho together.
  14. Have you thought about becoming an FNP and teaching a clinical or a class part time.
