Dayshifters- What time do you get up on your days off?

Published

I'm a recovered nightshifter, now working dayshift. I sleep like a BABY on my days off but still find myself dragging out of bed on my days on when the alarm goes off at 520am. I'm just curious- for those of you on day shift, do you wake up at the same time every day, workday or off-day?

Heeeell no! I sleep in whenever I can. The only helpful thing with getting up during the week is not hitting the snooze button - I have to get up as soon as it goes off or I feel crappy.

I have small kids so I end up getting up at 0630 anyway.... but... that is 1 1/2 hours longer sleep time than when I get up for work!!

anywhere from 930-1200, I'm a snooze hound!!!!!

I jst did 3 days in a row so this am I found my natural alarm clock waking up at 6. That didnt last though. Now its 10:40 and I will probably get up for the day. I can sleep anytime-I love sleep and have the kind of blinds that make my room pitch black!!

I still wake up early, even if it is just to go to the bathroom. Out of habit, I guess. I find that I still get up early, but am relieved that I am off, and then, I watch television or read to lull myself back to sleep.

I've been on days for years(-at least 15) Apparently I have NO natural alarm clock . If thirst, hunger or some body function does not wake me up I am capable of sleeping 20 hours at a stretch. "How beautiful it is to do nothing and then rest afterwards" That's my motto-in my next life I hope I am a cat. I love my bed- "clean sheets" night is my favorite night of the week.

When I get up for work, the alarm wakes me at 5:30 am. On my days off, I sleep until 9:30 or so, unless children jump on me or something. lol

I get up at 5:15 on work days and I tend to wake up around that time on my off days...but try to get back to sleep until at least 7:00. I am one of those who feel like crap if I sleep past 8:00 or so.

The whole family is up and about by 0500 every day. I am a morning person.

Whenever I feel like it..... *stretch* I am capable of sleeping 12 hours, then taking a four-hour nap...

Haha! Glad to know that I am not the only one who isn't a natural early bird. Yeah, I agree with many of you in that I sleep in very well on my days off and still can fit in a nap later in the day. So nice!
