Daily kid count

Out of curiosity, how many kids, including your daily meds, do you see everyday? Also, what is your school's enrollment and what grade levels do you have?

Elementary school

grades: K-5

enrollment: 877

daily kid count, including meds: 55-60

daily meds: 20 (all but two are ADHD)

on Average I see around between 33 to 57 students a day, depending on what day of the week it is and what time it is.

1 is type 1 diabetic

3 has severe asthma

3 have severe allergies to foods

1 Has ADHD

2 Has Migraines

28 daily meds, a few prn's

20 or so other students for illness/ injuries

High school with 2 nurses,

enrollment 1700

visits approx 45-50

meds with tube feedings, diabetics, adhd, caths approx 20

Middle school with enrollment of 700 7th-8th graders

5 T1 diabetics

7 daily meds

4 g tube feedings

30-50 visits per day in addition to the above

Since first posting this, I've seen some changes. My current numbers:

scheduled visits per day: 38 (1 CF I see 3 times per day, 3 DMs, 1 O2 check 3 times per day, & 2 med repeats)

number of other visits: avg 42

these last two weeks have been crazy. I had 90 clinic visits today!!

PK-4 450 enrolled, 5 T1 DM, 1 CF, 1 GTube, 2 seizure. 4 daily meds, 40-60 office visits. Stomach virus and flu keeping it real busy.

8 daily medications, one straight cath twice per school day

In a month I have ranged from 17-55 additional visits per day with an average of about 35

Nearly all come during the couple hours of lunch/recess so sometimes newbie me is swimming a little! :eek:

Daily visits including meds- 25 (until yesterday when I saw 40.)

Elementary (go help from time to time since our coordinator is on campus here)-approx 1200 students

Daily visits including meds-75-100 (when i have bee there)

k-6 w/ 560 kids.

20 meds, 2xT1DM, 1xGI Tube

Kid Count=30-40 depends on the phase of the moon

enrollment of 480

1 T1D with 3 visits/day

about 4 asthmatics regularly for inhalers (varies with season up to about 8/day at height of allergy season)

12 daily meds, 3 "PRN" dailies (if they forgot at home)

average of 40/day other visits, maybe 10 of which are actual issues :)
