Did you receive any cute and/ or useful gifts after getting your acceptance letter?

Before I started the program, my mother (also an RN) purchased me all kinds of goodies including a Littman cardiology III stethoscope, my school uniforms, nursing shoes, and other little tools like my penlight, etc. Needless to say I love my mother :redpinkhe

My husband and children surprised me with the nursing tote bag I've been eyeing for awhile. My grandmother was a nurse for almost 50 years. She sent me a lot of things that were sentimental to her, and they mean the world to me!

No, but I think an iPad would be nice. If only I could get my husband to read this post! (I did buy an iPod so I could download lectures that were available on MP3 and play Angry Birds.)

I keep dropping hints that I need a bigger coffeemaker. Those 3-5 cup ones just don't cut it anymore.

I think seeing my family really happy has been best gift i gotten. Ever since I gotten in, there been a really good vibe throughout the household which is a nice change of scenery. Because the past two years has been really tough for my family since my dad lost his job and we had to sacrifice a lot. So any good news is a big one. Ton of my buddies were going to throw a dinner party but it never happen because it was during finals oh well

I got some money that went towards some of my books, pen light, and plenty of advice from the seasoned nurses in my family.
