Confused... am I an RN or not??

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hey, I'm a new member to this site, though I've browsed around before as a non-member. I just had a quick question, I hope someone can help!

I just took my NCLEX for the second time on Tuesday and today I looked at my state board of nursing's website and it showed my name with "application in progress," so I was excited! But then I got quick results and they said I failed...! And my name isn't showing up on nursys..

So, does anyone have any idea what this could mean?? I'm so confused and I just want to know if I passed. :(

Quick results are 100% accurate for pass/fail. If you did pass, quick results are not a guarantee that you will be issued a license by the BoN. Only the BoN can declare you a nurse.

So no, you are not an RN and sadly yes you did fail.

In a nutshell, you failed. You have that information, I'm not sure what else you expected to hear here...

Really digging all these helpful replies, by the way. So great.

Yes, the question is answered now and I thank everyone who left helpful responses. That sarcastic remark I left from earlier was because of the replies that came before it... to me, they weren't all that nice nor were they particularly helpful. But I suppose I'm a bit to blame for not stating that I had already called the bon in my initial question...

I am going to be helpful, too by pointing out your screen name is fraudulent.

As a note, pass or fail, you are not an RN until the board of nursing grants you a license and you will know this because you will have a license number.

It's not fraudulent if she received her BSN. Unless she changed it in the last 15 minutes since you posted that.

I do have my BSN, but thanks for trying to help. I know I've failed the NCLEX, but I'm not entirely stupid.

Attitude not needed, and if you had remembered to give us ALL the information, then the responses of "call the BON" wouldn't have been said. Just sayin'...

I apologize, but you were the one who left a snarky remark first. Besides, if you had read my other reply, I already commented on the fact that I should have said that I called the bon.

Enough everyone..... Closing this thread as the answer has been given and no need for any more unhelpful comments
