Hey, I am feeling giddy today. Sooooo....will ask for COB rollcall and year graduated from *first* nursing school (whether that be LPN/LVN or RN or even throw in the CNA date)...
I graduated in 1990 with my LPN. I was a CNA for at least 6 months prior to that. :)
I retired by letting my license lapse last year. It is so frickin' expensive to renew now, and I don't ever intend to work in a hospital or LTC again. But I haven't retired-retired, I work as a PD CNA 2 shifts a week for pocket money.
Maybe this could be one of our (COB's) Theme Song: Sung to the tune of Paul Simon's "Still Crazy" =
"And I would not be convicted by a jury of my peers,
Real Crusty After All These Years"

Wait a minute...if you're 53y, how did you graduate from college in 1971? You would have only been 9y! Your bio says you've been working for 32y, so how can you have been working 44y? Is my math bad?
Well when I signed up for this site I was trying to appear younger. So I fudged age and experience. Now I don't care anymore. Yes I am 63 and have been working full time for 44 years.
Graduated LPN in 1987, finally went back and became an RN and finished in Dec 2014. All those years have been hospital years. I think I qualify as a COB!
I think hospital years count as "dog years" no?! (ie: I have been a nurse since 1987, but they have been hospital years, so really it's been 60 years......) HAHAHAHAHA!!
