Hey, I am feeling giddy today. Sooooo....will ask for COB rollcall and year graduated from *first* nursing school (whether that be LPN/LVN or RN or even throw in the CNA date)...
I graduated in 1990 with my LPN. I was a CNA for at least 6 months prior to that. :)
Aide, no certs in 1977, BSN '81, MSN '09. Yes, you can go back!
Think about the PhD sometimes because some of the MSN classes were so interesting; but since I only use the MSN to teach once a week, adjunct, (turned down the full time faculty spot), don't really know what I'd do with it. And there are a lot of things I'd rather spend the money on.
CNA II 1992, BSN 1994. Before that taught middle school math and science. 7 yrs inpatient med-surg/ oncology followed by 14 yrs in home health. Considering getting my MSN.... if I can figure out how to keep body and soul (not to mention my sanity!!) while going to school. I worked full time and went to school for my BSN but that was many moons ago!!

I don't have the energy or much desire...but good for you! Congrats! My friend from ASN school just graduated with her doctorate. :) She likes research but she just took a part-time teaching spot...for now.
Can in 85, Lpn in 94. Been at the same facility since 89. Looking forward to retiring!
Amazing!...and congrats for staying in the same facility since 1989. I wish I had stayed in the same place since 1989 (where I started as a student aide and then LPN and also went back a for nearly a year after my ASN, after I left for 3 years). I probably should have! I'd be retiring soon.
Hey guys, have to admit that I didn't know what COB was when I posted. I just wanted to "check in". Thanks for accepting me as a COB, as I turned 50 this year, and have had other careers and have been a bit disenchanted by nursing; although I LOVE my job, just not the people I work with.
