Had a kid bring his wet, bloody tooth and plop it right on my desk.
C'mon now!
Or the kid that did running knee slide into my office.
C'mon now!
The ones old enough to cover their mouths but choose to cough right in your face instead.
All together: C'mon now!!
Some things just make me shake my head.
SchoolNurseTXstyle said:I had a kid on Friday come to me because she forgot to put on her bra that morning!!! The C'MON NOW is she really had nothing to fill a bra in the first place.........
I had a girl come a few weeks ago becuase her bra was too small and it was hurting her. Luckily I was able to help adjust the straps without her removing her shirt.
I had a rather FF walk in today, very casual-like. She has legit medical issues but is doing well this year. She very confidently told me she has a disease called miscellaneous, like all over her body. I waited for her to finish her sentence but that was her supposed disease. Miscellaneous. C'mon Now!!
She showed me the spot on her stomach that was bothering her the most, and I'm no derm but it looked like molluscum contagiosum. So I covered it with a band aid because it looked like her pants were bothering it. I called her mom (who is a nurse) and we laughed and laughed.
SO yeah, miscellaneous. The struggle is real.
One of my second graders that sees me for daily meds was telling me how they tonight are leaving for 2 weeks to go to Jamaica. Over the summer they went to Greece and in the spring they were on a two week cruise around mexico.
And this parent ALWAYS gives me a hard time about needing an extra inhaler and bringing in his meds when I run out because it's "too expensive"
C'mon now!!

I am guilty of this (not the lexus part). I never have bandaids! And I'm a nurse! I had some but my daughter decorated her legs with them and I never bought new ones. Then my older daughter fell off her bike on the way to school and I ended up driving her to the school and asking the nurse if I could patch her up in her health office (I work for the same district and know the nurse well).
I STILL have not bought bandaids...

Umm...what did he think it was going to feel like after have metal objects forcibly shoved through a body part?!

THIS. IS. GREAT! Why is no bra your problem?
I was one of those in the IBTC, still am really. And that's probably why she didn't realize she hadn't put on her bra. Put a sweatshirt on.
