I'm almost 32 and just about finished my first quarter back. I will have 9 more pre reqs to take before I can apply for the program. I would love to chat with others and cheer each other on along the way. OH, and does anyone else think English 101 is kinda hard?! And why the hell does it have to be one of the 4 classes that count at my school? I'm going crazy!
I am 34:) I had three children when I started my pre req's in fall of 2009, I now have five beautiful children, I went through all my science classes pregnant:) I was VERY preggo dissecting cats/frogs/animal parts... I even gave birth and went back to finish up the last 3 weeks of micro this last fall. It was rough, but I sucked it up and finished, I applied in March, just passed my TEAS last Thursday and have been accepted into my program of choice starting this fall! Yay for me! I'm so excited for my future, and I'm excited to help my husband support our large family:) I'm gonna rock nursing school like a boss! Good luck to you all.
Hi! I just responded to you on another post, lol! Are you going to VVC? I also took my TEAS last Thursday and passed :) I'm so excited about that!! Did they give you a start date? I haven't heard anything, they said we would be notified mid-May. That is awesome that you were able to finish your prerequisites, even while pregnant! We probably had some of the same teachers :) I took Micro and Physio last semester. I would love to chat more! I'm so glad to finally be moving on in this process, it seems like it has taken soooooo long to get to this point! Hope to talk soon :)

Great thread!
I am 32, father of three, and recently decided to change my career direction from pastoral ministries (my mother's dream, not really mine) to become an RN. I have a few pre-req's to complete this summer/fall and hope to be accepted into our nursing school in Spring 15' at CCRI here in RI.
Good luck to everybody and let's keep this thread going!
So glad to find this 30+ club. It's great to see lots of different paths taken and now we all want a nursing career. I feel nothing but motivation now and ready to start my prerequisites this summer. I'm taking a huge leap in changing careers but nursing has become my passion. Good luck to all of you and I hope we all accomplish our dreams.
Hi all! It is such a great thing to come across this thread. I am 35 will be 36 in August and was accepted into an Accelerated program. I am in the Fall 2014 cohort and can't wait. I know It will be challenging and life as I know it will temporarily change, but I am up for the challenge! Good luck every one.
