  1. It probably depends on where you are. At my school you must cover all tattoos and remove visible piercings for clinicals.
  2. Here in the south any threat of snow is scary because we are so unprepared for it . More often than not we end up with more ice than snow and that can mean downed power lines. Back in 94 we had an "ice storm" that left us without power for almost 2-weeks . Our forecast is calling for ice tonight. Hopefully it won't hang around long. I am so thankful I don't live where it's cold. I don't know if I would survive!!
  3. I just finished my first semester of nursing school and homeschooled my three children. They are 13,11&9. It's definitely doable. You just have to stay organized and flexible. ( great thing about homeschooling) We school year round and take our breaks when we want so if I had an especially busy week at school they had a lighter week.
  4. I just finished my first semester with all A's woo hoo ! I think recording the lectures really helped me. I could listen to them in the car if I needed to. I was scared of pharmacology so I bought the required book early and started learning it before the semester started. I'm glad I did. No math anxiety when you already know the stuff.
  5. OOh now do one addressing "My teacher/boss is mean to me. Should I report them?"
  6. Maybe the information is on the schools website.
  7. August 18th for me too! So anxious to get started!
  8. What if I went directly into a NP program after RN school and worked as well. Would those years of working part time as an RN be enough experience?
  9. I'm finished with pre-reqs also! Yay! I start nursing school this August!
  10. I enjoyed A&P II way more than the first one. Maybe because I knew what to expect. It also seemed so relevant to nursing.
  11. It is so cool to see the variety on here!
  12. I guess I should have answered my own question! I am leaning towards Psych
  13. For all of us wanna be and soon to be nursing students what specialty would you like to end up in? I thought it would be interesting to see if that changes as we actually go through clinicals.
