A&P in making my life hell
I don't know why. But I can just can't seem to do decent in A&P. This is the only class that I can't do well. I m currently of the verge of nursing failing and mentally dying. I have tried reading the textbook, flash cards, taking notes in class, recording lecture. NOTHING WORKS. I just don't know what to do anymore. My exam grades just keep going down the drain. Is it so hard to get a B. People said that A&P are suppose to weed out the weaklings. I don't just don't know anymore. There's this person whom I consider a friend, but she always ask about my grades and makes fun of me. She's toxic. I can't get away from her bc I have classes with her. I just need some advice on A&P.

Tips for studying Anatomy 102/103???
Thanks for replying. I want to go to tutoring. But the first thing they are going to ask is what do you need help on. I don't know what I need help that's the thing. Btw I am already a freshman nursing major. I just don't know how to study anymore. There would be times I would read the textbook and the exam would be on the lectures and vice Versa. I would do well on the exam that everybody fails and fails the exams that everybody aces. It's like karma is playing me. If I read the textbook AND study lectures, nothing is going to stick. the exams are 9 lectures combined, and it's every other week. It's not that I don't understand, it's too much to for me to understand. I am more of a Hands on person, I learn better if I see the material physically and touch it. I can't really do that to a spinal cord or brain or the heart.

Tips for studying Anatomy 102/103???
Hello, I just don't know to how to study for anatomy anymore. The lectures are 2 hours long. It goes in one ear and goes out the other. Nothing sticks. I would be zoning out even though I am paying attention. Most people are getting A's and B's in the class. I am getting C's.I also have told by this girl 3 times that I should dropped out of nursing because I don't like it. I don't dislike nursing, I just don't like ANAT class. This has been the lowest point of my academic career. I always have been a top student, but now it's just going down hill. I got a C in Anat 101. I was 0.4 away from an 80. I was devastated. But now I just want to do my best. I want some tips on how to study better. My first exam was 78, I still have 3 more exams. I study for almost a week. I just want to improve. Please help thanks.

Should I even be a nurse?
Hello,, I will get kicked out of the program. I have always been an honor student with a 3.7+ GPA in HS. I don't know what's wrong with me. I usually do really well in classes, but I think I have just hit an all time low. My friend who scores higher on the exams told me that I should consider my major, and the anatomy 101 class is to weed out people. I don't know what to do. Please help. I have 2 more exams, 2 more labs, and a final exam left in ANAT class. I do't think I can do well with the grades I have been getting. I took ANAT in HS, I did really well in the class. I am really frazzled. I calculated my current GPA the maximum GPA i can get is a 3.2 for this quarter. I just don't know anything anymore. If I don't get a certain GPA I might not get the CO OP job that I want. And I have no idea what the GPA requirements for the good CO OP jobs are. I'm lost. Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Drexel Co Op? Fall/Winter or Spring/Summer?
I am currently a freshman in the nursing program. I don't know which Co Op I want. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each time slot? And what income level would a lvl 1 nursing co op have? Thanks in advance

Nurses with ear piercings
I started this post and haven't check back since the 7th page of this post started. Keep in mind, when I use the word piercings, I meant ONLY EAR piercings. Although I respect your opinion, there are somethings that I am not really comfortable with it. I have four piercings, (1 lobes and 2 cartilages, 0 tattoos). I'm Asian (Chinese) and that insinuates I'm conservative, which I am. First of all, I am talking about Nursing here and not medical assistance. Nurses go through more extensive training that a regular MA does. Second of all the thing about no diplomas if you have piercings or tattoos, that is completely false. Not everyone with piercings or tattoos are unintelligent. I am currently in the top 5% of my graduating class, and I have been accepted into a respectable university for its nursing program. And I have 4 piercings. My friend who has 6 piercings, is the valedictorian and she's will be majoring in neuroscience at University of Pennsylvania, and she had an face to face interview with one of the admission staff. During the interview, she wore her piercings. I don't know where you live or what your story is, but that comment you made is absolutely absurd and false.

Nurses with ear piercings
I have already made the decision several posts back. I don't think the people who replied read my previous posts hence I m defending my position. I just am confused why piercings would affect someone's chance of getting a job.

Heal as in the the piercing is healed and won't hurt anymore. And I can changing the piercing as I pleased. I didn't mean heal as "the hole closing". Sorry for the confusion. I feel like it's too late when I am done with school. I got mine first ear lobe piercings three months ago. I m 18, but there are people who got their lobe piercings as babies. I feel like I making a mistake if I don't do it young.

Nurses with ear piercings
In case you missed my previous posts. I m very conservative. I currently do NOT have tattoos. And I bought about getting ONE, not a full sleeve. If I did get my piercings and took them out and dressed conservative as you said, would you have known that I have several piercings? Are you going to take a magnifying glass and zoom in on my ears? If you did, that would kinda of weird and intrusive. I mentioned in my last post, that if I got my piercings early, the would healed. And I would be able to take them out for interviews and clinical.

No need to be rude. Did I offended you? Did I say you were harsh? No.

Nurses with ear piercings
I have accepted in to a university and the nursing program. Thank you for the idea of reading the handbook. The handbook states that "The only jewelry permitted with the uniform is a wedding ring and small post-type earrings. No hoopearrings are acceptable. No visible body piercing with the exception of small post earrings in ears arepermitted. Gauge style earrings need to be removed and lobes need to be secured during clinical hours." To my understanding, there's seems to be no limit of ear piercings, and I will definitely not wear hoops, gauge, or dangling. I'll be wear studs only. And if I pierced them early, after my ears healed, I can always remove them before clinical and my co op. Thank you for this important tip. And the tattoo is out.

I m not trying to attract anyone. It's subjective on how to express yourself. For you it maybe voice, but for me it's not.

Nurses with ear piercings
Tbh I m already accepted into Drexel Univeristy and its nursing program. I still will get my ear piercings, but no hoops, danglings, or stretching. They are going to be small studs. The tattoo, I m going to hold off of. There are posts on here I felt that it was pretty harsh. I mean reality is harsh, but there is no need to be harsh on here. Thank you for your responses. Btw I m actually pretty consercative (actually very). Piercings are like a way for me to express myself and that's why I m getting the ear piercings.
