  1. Hi hmowry, What is the website for this biology free class? thanks
  2. I'm almost 39 in three days, lol! I have two kids, 4 and 6. I'm still working fulltime but ready for a career change. In two weeks I'll begin my first online course. College seems like past lifetime but I'll get back in mode again. I have my hubby's support and my mom's. I know I'm going to need all the help to make this happen. It's great to see so many are experiencing something similar and we all share a dream that will come true.
  3. Try Thomas Edison College Online....I know A&P I and II are online. They do offer nutrition, so check for Organic Chem.
  4. Glad I read this post. I'm taking this class online also an eight week course. Just bought my book and I start in two weeks.
  5. I'm 38 and ready to begin my pre-requisites. I'm so glad I have this summer off and I can just concentrate and getting back in school mode. I know it will be challenging with a family but I know it can get done. It's awesome how age is not stopping anyone. So true years always pass us by so let's do what we want!
  6. So glad to find this 30+ club. It's great to see lots of different paths taken and now we all want a nursing career. I feel nothing but motivation now and ready to start my prerequisites this summer. I'm taking a huge leap in changing careers but nursing has become my passion. Good luck to all of you and I hope we all accomplish our dreams.
  7. The last time I took any type of biology was in high school, so I'm also catching up and reviewing. I'm also taking a summer course. Cliffnotes Quick review sounds good to me.
  8. Baubo516- Wow! very similar situation. I'm glad everything is going well. You're so right about the continuous stress as a teacher. I'm looking forward to start my classes and just keep a positive attitude. I'm doing my best at work and plan on finishing the year in good terms with my district. Best of luck with your LPN boards!
  9. I'm 38, beginning my prerequisites. Now I'm more motivated! There's always doubt especially when you're making a career change. I've been unhappy in my job for the past three years. I've finally decided to leave my teaching career and begin a new path that had many opportunities. Wish me luck!
  10. To find other people in similar situations gives me strength to pursue this new career and let's me know that I'm not alone. Jofapcastillo thats great that you're working in the pediatrics dept.
  11. JAChicago Just wondering how you are doing in the AbSN program? Do you miss teaching? I'm also teaching first grade and I could totally relate to you. I'm starting my prerequisites spring 14. I will be leaving my position at the end of the academic year. I'm hoping to get accepted to a accelerated nursing program.
  12. I'm just starting my prerequisites. How long did it take you?
  13. I'm looking at Rutgers, seton hall and Thomas Edison. I'm just beginning my prerequisites at MCC so I'll apply in 2015. I'm excited for my new career change and just hoping it all works out.
