I am absolutely convinced that there is a group of people in my med/surg class that is cheating on every test. It makes me mad because I study so hard. Should I voice my concerns to the instructor. I believe they have a test bank.
I'm shocked at how many people are saying to keep quiet about it.
If you know someone is cheating (and have proof), I feel you have an obligation to report it. It DOES deal with patient safety- if these folks are cheating and then they're out there taking care of patients as a nursing assistant or a student nurse, that's a BIG issue. I don't want the nurse that cheated to be my nurse, and I doubt anyone else would either.
Keep it discrete or send an anonymous letter.

I'm not concerned with them becoming nurses, because there is no way they can pass the nclex and work as a nurse. They may be able to get through nursing school, but they won't have a chance at passing the nclex.
If you have proof they are cheating, you should say something.
If you don't have proof...well, what to do about it is your call. But I'd be very careful about making specific accusations against people without having proof, because that could blow up in your face, especially if it does turn out that the people you accuse are innocent. If you don't have proof, then don't point fingers at people A, B and C...but you always could let your instructor know that you think there's something going on that doesn't seem right and not name names, and let her decide what to do about it. That way, if it turns out you are wrong, minimal harm is done.
Either way, I agree with other posters: if you're going to address the matter with the instructor, address it discretely or anonymously, especially if you don't have proof.
i also think its kind of absurd that people are saying be quiet- i see there point and to a certain extent i am with them. you and the other classmates shouldnt have to pay for their stupidity- and i may have even of said& used them not being able to pass the nclex also as my reasoning....but imagine if somehow someway they did pass the nclex....they would be out there harming people- but as i said before, this is only if you have proof...not just assuming they are cheating because they say they dont study and yet get 100's on tests...they be closet studiers who knows?!?! and to me, its not just the destination thats important, but its also the road on that journey that you take... keep studying, like i also said before, if you notice some thing is up,im sure your instructors, who have been teaching for a while and has been in the game for a while, know whats up to....its a shame what part of society has become!

I disagree. I think there's a distinct possibility that they could, indeed, pass NCLEX. Who says they cheated all thru NS?? Cheated in every class??

Nothing worse than a no good rat. Who cares what anyone does as long as it is victimless, mind your own business. Who cares if someone else takes a risk and gets away with it? This boils down to childish jealousy. You are jealous of those with the guille and cajones to take a chance and beat the system.
I don't know where some of you get your holier than thou attitude that nurses are some blessed saint that can never have real human flaws. A nurse is someone that gets paid to provide a skilled service.... as long as the employer and client are satisfied with the service then there is no problem! If these suspected "cheaters" get through school and pass the Nclex and satisfy their employer and client on the job then what right do you have to complain?
Focus on your own weaknesses.
