Im graduating in may with a BS in health sciences from Michigan State. The nursing program is extremely hard to get into here so I just decided to get a health related degree while there and then apply to other nursing programs when I graduated.
I applied to about 4 schools and I just got accepted into my first choice school so I dont even care about hearing from the rest of the schools I applied to. Im really excited/nervous and proud of myself because I got in on the first try:D. I also get to start off in the actual nursing courses and clinicals since I already have all the gen ed and pre req courses completed, which also cuts down the cost by $18,000!
What about you guys?
I received an acceptance letter from the college months ago accepting me into the college and recently received a letter from the nursing department that said "Congratulations! You have been selected for the Fall 2010 entry into our Baccalaureate Nursing Program..." I needed to sign and return the offer of admission by May 13. I hope that helps clear it up for you and hopefully we will be classmates. I am so excited!!:redbeathe:yeah:
Ugh, my poor wife...
I got my acceptance last week to the new BSN at Davenport and I think that since I still have a couple co-req's to do, I am going to be away from home for 12+ hours most days come fall. But we'll see where they put me.
Excited and a little fearful but still pretty confident, you know?
:ancong!: To all of you who have been accepted for the fall of 2010. I will be starting the BSN program at Lakeview College of Nursing this fall as well!!!! It was so nervewracking waiting for the acceptance letter. They only let in 48 students in each semester. I am so excited to get started, but also nervous at that same time,if you know what I mean.
I got my acceptance for my BSN program back in the beginning of April, I was just trying to survive the rest of this semester which is why I didn't see this earlier LOL. But now that I know I officially passed my last pre-reqs I can really celebrate. It was the only school I applied to because it was the school I did all of my pre-reqs/core-reqs in and I was determined to get in. Got a 4 month summer break before starting nursing classes in September. Planning on spending those 4 months in the gym to trim down some weight so I'll be all nice and fit for my scrubs . Plus it'll give me time to get everything on my clinical checklist done.
I have to say this last semester of pre-reqs almost killed me! I was so frustrated and annoyed with some of the classes I had. I'm already registered for classes but I have to wait till Sept to find out what hospital placements we have for clinicals. School starts Sept 7th but Orientation is Sept 1st =D
