CCBC, Fall 2011 Applicants =)

Hello Everyone,

Here we go again! This is my second time applying to CCBC's nursing program. I look forward to chatting with everyone as we wait for the GOOD news! I believe things happen for a reason! I have good faith that Fall 2011 is going to be my turn for acceptance. I guess we will see if I am right.

For anyone who was not accepted this Spring, we can be a great support system for each other :).

Sadly, Essex doesn't have anything on the Bookstore website for fall books. :confused: As soon as I can find out, I can let you know, but I'll understand if you want to sell it back before. Thank you in advance though! I'll gladly pay someone for it if it's the right book. Hopefully the fall book lists will go up because I know all you nursing folk will need to start buying your $600+ worth of textbooks! :lol2:

to people who are buying books- just a little info:

look into international versions, they are always the same but cheaper!

Also I rent my books when I can, I spend waaay less money, I use chegg or barnes and noble or abe books. also ebay used books every once in a while. sorry I dont have my stat book, I sold it on craigslist a while ago... another great source for cheap books. I never pay anything near full price:-) also email your profs before you buy the book, sometimes they are totally fine with an older version which are cheaper.

Got the mail already today (5-18), no letter yet. I normally get Essex mail the next day since I live in Essex. So, they haven't mailed anything yet. *** are they waiting for. Sorry for the language. lol

For these books, I don't think renting is a good option- once you become a RN, you may need to reference them later in life. I usually buy my books from Amazon- the new books are at least 20% cheaper than from CCBC, and they have used copies as well.

1) MEISE IS AMAZING!!!!! I took him last summer and STILL got an "A"! Do not let summer scare you from taking him. The man is incredible. If you follow his notes...yes, he will give you notes...you are guaranteed a great grade. I also was graced with him as my lab instructor for A&P I...again, and "A" in that portion. Just genuinely a terrific man!!

2) My status said "waitlisted", still no God forsaken letter!!! I'm going nuts not knowing what the heck it means :(
