CCBC, Fall 2011 Applicants =)

Hello Everyone,

Here we go again! This is my second time applying to CCBC's nursing program. I look forward to chatting with everyone as we wait for the GOOD news! I believe things happen for a reason! I have good faith that Fall 2011 is going to be my turn for acceptance. I guess we will see if I am right.

For anyone who was not accepted this Spring, we can be a great support system for each other :).

No letter from CCBC in the mail today. 5-19-11 Why on earth would you change the status on Simon and not be ready to mail letters??? Who is running that place? Must be the 3 blind mice!!!

I heard my instructor (nursing program)said that they are waiting for both campus have all letters ready then they will mail them at the same time.

I just spoke with Ms. Hoffman over at Selective Admissions in Essex and she said letters were mailed yesterday evening and I should get mine by Tuesday. It doesn't matter, she also confirmed that all seat fees are posted. I knew it was a rejection and already started making plans for summer/fall. She called me back in reference to the application I submitted online for Fall 2012 night/evening weeking nursing program. Yes extremely early.

WOW- they actually called you back? I called two people there to find out when orientation is and cannot get a response I even said they did not have to talk about my status..just when it would be IF a person were to get in. I have a trip scheduled in June and cannot make the final payment until I know. very frustrating. if I didn't return phone calls at work I would be fired.

Actually, she called me and I returned her call. She wanted to make sure that I was really applying this early for next year. If it helps her name is Sherri Hoffman [phone]. Not a direct line, I still had to leave a message and she called me back within an hour.

I am going to assume not many people applied to the LPN program? I started a threat for it and got no replies, lol and no replies on here. It may not be ideal, but it is a start. I would much rather get my first year of RN school over with then to keep waiting to get accepted into a traditional RN program. Best of luck everyone. POST when you get your letter. :)

i dont know if this helps but....i only got a 70% on my TEAS test and i was accepted, however i did finish my prereq's and got A's in all of my science courses...my gpa was a 3.6. there is hope for all of you, if you didnt get in this semester...i'm sure you will next semester..GOOODLUCK!

ab4444- what program were you accepted into? I got in this year; however, I know some programs are harder than others to get into (i.e. E/W) and it would help those who are comparing themselves to you.

Does anyone have a TEAS V, Microbiology, or A&P I book they would like to get rid of? You can send me a message at [email protected] with pricing and pick up info. I am taking Microbiology at CCBC this summer with Zumburan or something like that. At first is said Meise and then it changed. Meise is still listed in addition to Zumburan tho. I am taking A&P I in the fall online. This will be my 3rd time take A&P I. I took it at BCCC but of course the books are different. Thanks in advance anyone who can help.

Also I am now Shanelle #5 at Howard Community College. The wait list went down 2 number since the end of February. Could there be hope?
