Hello Everyone,
Here we go again! This is my second time applying to CCBC's nursing program. I look forward to chatting with everyone as we wait for the GOOD news! I believe things happen for a reason! I have good faith that Fall 2011 is going to be my turn for acceptance. I guess we will see if I am right.
For anyone who was not accepted this Spring, we can be a great support system for each other :).
GOOD LUCK!!!
Thank you! I live on the Eastern Shore and am debating between CCBC or PGCC for Spring 2012 start. As a current AACC student, since I don't hold county residence unfortunately I have an extremely low chance of getting into their program.
Just remember that out-of-county residents now have to pay out-of-county tuition. I believe CCBC will give a $50 credit per credit to out-of-county students, if I understood the news release properly. CCBC does look at the amount of classes taken at their campus(es) as well as Baltimore County residents, but seriously, don't let that discourage you because you certainly have a chance at being accepted!
Good luck!
to ab1967 or anyone who got their letter today...i am out of town so won't even see my mail for a few days.... does anyone know when orientation is for essex-evening/weekend??
there are two mandatory orientation sessions for the e/w program. june 9th and june 14th, both are from 6 to 9 pm. during these sessions you will be registered for your fall courses.
your seat fee must be paid by 11:59 on june 1st or your seat is given away.
Finally got my letter today and I got wait-listed for Essex day program. Anybody know how there wait-list system works??? Like what the probability of actually getting in from the wait-list is? The paper says that they won't tell me where I am on the list and now I'm just agonizing on what to do for summer. Like if I didn't get in I would to take Micro over the summer to replace the only C I have. But if I did get in obviously I wouldn't retake it. Ugh I just don't know what to do
Nothing against you Punkyb at all! :) But, I don't understand why I wasn't at least wait-listed. I got all B's in my sciences and A's and B's in the rest (1 C in speech). How did you do on the other sciences and the TEAS. They didn't give me a reason for a rejection, so I am trying to figure out what I can do better for the next time.
Thank you to everyone who gave supportive words :) I am very driven to become a nurse, so I am by far not giving up. I may be accepted into the LPN program (trying to find the good in things :) ). It is not the RN program, but it is a start.
They didn't give me a reason for a rejection, so I am trying to figure out what I can do better for the next time.
They didn't give me a reason as to why I was rejected either. I think it's ridiculous that they sent out the same letter to everyone that was rejected. I think it should be a little more personalized as to why the person was rejected. I know very well it was my TEAS score. I've already spoken to Gwen, who surprisingly was very pleasant and helpful (), so I know what I need to do before re-applying in the Spring.
It's funny how the letter mentions "investigating other health professions programs." It's like, REALLY? Why on earth would we stress ourselves out taking all of the pre-requisites to apply to the nursing program only to change our mind! No way am I changing my mind, they will be seeing another application from me in the Spring.
