I just passed my NCLEX and found my license number confirmed on the Pennsylvania Board of Nursing Website. I know it will take a few weeks for them to mail a paper copy of my license, but in the mean time- can I write "RN" after my name on resumes I am handing out?

Yes, you have been licensed by the state.
Congratulations!

If your name and license number is online then you are an RN. Employers can confirm your license by checking the state board of nursing. Congrats on passing the NCLEX!

Once you've been issued a license number, you are officially an RN and may call yourself as such. Congratulations!

In Texas, we don't get paper licenses anymore. It's just online.

OOhhh!! Congrats! You CAN use RN after your name if you have a listed license number on the official board of nursing web site for your state! I LOVED the first time I got to write RN after my name a few months ago..but now I accidentally write it on my checks after I sign my name..lol..Congrats again!

See how fast you can memorize your license number just for fun. Yep, you're an RN with an RN license number, I would be looking for ways to use my signature and add the RN after it. Has a nice ring to it, doesn't it? Congratulations!!!

If your license number has been listed on your state board of nursing's verification website, you are officially an RN, and you may legally utilize the title of 'RN' or 'registered nurse.'
Congratulations, new RN!
