So....if you are at work and go to sit down in your chair and see that someone put ultrasound gell all over it....would that be considered bullying?
It's all fun and games haha until someone gets hurt. Gel is slippery, someone slips off the chair, breaks a hip...and Oh my lordy now room 467 is coding....
Hospital. Sick people. Some critically.
I wouldn't expect my kids to act in such a manner, therefore wouldn't appreciate co-workers in a professional setting to by any stretch of the imagination.
But I am old and cranky.
Being an avid reader of Emergency Department Doc Blogs, I sure know the hijinks and hilarity that goes on in some environments, lol. A doctor posted a tutorial on different methods of making realistic fake poop -- pictures included....
Anyway, gonzo I really hope you were not the recipient of a mean-spirited prank.
Well, the OP has failed to return to provide more information about the incident, or the context in which it occurred.
Having ONLY the information in the first post, I'd have to way "WHAT bullying?" I see no bullying, although I do see either a silly prank or a stupid one, depending on the mood of the person reading/watching it.
Stupid or silly pranks do not equate to "bullying". Review of true incidents of bullying would give one pause to consider whether this qualifies. IMHO, based on the info provided, it's sorely lacking for that designation.
Yes, we do have assigned seats. And I haven't been on to give more info cause I have been sick. Found out it was just a youngish nurse that was trying to be "cool". Several of the others working told her it was not a good idea, but she is not easily swayed.
So basically a juvenile who can't follow direction. I wouldn't say bully but poor choice by someone who needs to grow up and become a professional. It was a risky choice as it could have ruined the chair, the coworkers clothing, someone could have slipped and been injured. I would have spoken to the offender at least at first.

unless you have assigned seats, it was just a prank of a foolish person who was risking firing for damaging the employer's property...and even if you always sit there, it was still a prank and a risky behavior...
