Did anybody else have a SUPER boring history teacher? He talks non stop for 1 hour and 10 mins :: he doesn't post powerpoints or have a school webpage so you have to audio record him. He rabbit trails. He was talking about what america is and then started telling us the history of pizza and tomatoes (?). This is going to be a long semester.

Thats good :) we don't have a textbook either. He didn't assign one.

And the thing about the pizza was a discussion he was having about how nothing in America is really American because everyone came from everywhere else.

I was a history & political science major undergrad so I just find history fascinating. Also, a 1 hour & 10 minute lecture is very short. Usually college lectures are 3 hours. Make the most of it. I absolutely hate PowerPoints. They are a crutch for the student & the teacher.

I just wish hed make it more entertaining by doing more than just straight talking. Thats why its boring. Theres no handouts, book to look at, just him lol.

Oh KThurmond, I was just thinking today, as I printed out page after page of case studies, lecture notes, and ppts, that I wish it was like back when they had no laptops and computers for school.. I'm overwhelmed by the amount of online postings, charts, studies, rubrics, etc etc to use for my nursing classes. One nursing class alone has 8 rubrics. I would like to sit there with a notebook and take lecture notes!!

And yeah my history teacher was like that....we had a book too though. It will go by faster than you think right now! Maybe you can talk your teacher into a movie day? We got to watch Lincoln with Daniel Day-Lewis.

I like these threads better than "night nurses do nothing" and "I did something illegal and dangerous will I get in trouble":laugh:

Actually, Blue isn't just for students. It's the less "technical/nursie" side.

You can't reach it through the app (boo!!), you have to go through the AN website on your computer or phone.

My phone doesn't like the website, it gets all cattywampus lol.

The Blue Side is the All Nurses Breakroom - this area here is sometimes called the yellow side.
