bored to tears

Did anybody else have a SUPER boring history teacher? He talks non stop for 1 hour and 10 mins ::sleep:: he doesn't post powerpoints or have a school webpage so you have to audio record him. He rabbit trails. He was talking about what america is and then started telling us the history of pizza and tomatoes (?). This is going to be a long semester.

OMG,how did I make it through school without power points, computers and websites?

Oh, they didn't have them back then. You paid attention to the teacher and took notes in class. You didn't check Facebook and Instagram or eat meals in class either.

Did you bang erasers, Emergent?

I had a math teacher who would throw chalk at us when we missed a question. I am horrible at math and I'm traumatized.

I had a boring professor for history back in the day. I thought I'd fall asleep each class. He was totally unclear about what we were supposed to learn and never covered any topic that was in the textbook or at all related to the course. He spoke in a slow monotone and never looked at anyone. We had two exams. each consisted of two essay questions about a random topic from the textbook. I was never so glad to be done with a class as I was with that one! I empathize with you!

You probably have PTSD my dear. You're probably eligible for SSI.

I also had a very dry monotone history teacher way back when. What a disappointment it was. Of all the classes that can potentially captivate and have influence it's a history class.

But on the scale of First World problems, it's better than a bitter burnt out nursing instructor.

I only took history up to the point it where it was required. Whenever I got bored I ended up doing work for other classes. On exams, I didn't provide serious answers and provided depictions of events with stick people. I remember my South Park version of Canadians landed me in some trouble. Good times.

South Park version of Canadians? I'm intrigued.

I stopped going to the boring lectures. Instead, I read for other courses in the library or stayed at home.

Mann I HATE those kinds of classes. I always opted to take them online because the exams were easier and they were super easy A's. My advice to you: take as many of your non-nursing pre requisites online. They will be easy GPA boosters and you won't have to sit through a boring a$$ lecture.

I'm not boring and that was rude. I've seen alot of unrelated threads in this category. I was just wondering how others peoples history classes were. I won't post on this category again. I've been nothing but nice and try to help answer everybody elses questions.

You gotta learn to roll with the punches on this site. Bob and Weave, if you will... most people don't mean any harm. Some do, but most dont.

I was told that Canadians do not apologize for all of our problems and offer their condolences with maple syrup. I had our neighbors to the north completely wrong.
