Ignorance? Nice!
I just watch the riots in the streets, the support of vandalism and general lawlessness in Dem controlled cities. I watch the murder rates increase. I watch the Dem leaders support and advocate for violence.
" I don’t care if someone decides to loot a Gucci or a Macy’s or a Nike store, because that makes sure that person eats," said BLM organizer Ariel Atkins. "That makes sure that person has clothes. Anything they wanted to take, they can take it because these businesses have insurance."
This mentality of the liberals helped me reach my conclusion.

Responding to the OP with a convoluted example that has little or no bearing on the original discussion seems to be a hallmark of a Trump supporter's comeback.

However, she decided to follow them across the parking lot, repeatedly tell her son to get his hat back, and then proceeded to challenge them with her constant challenge "do you want to try me?"
Had something happened to her or her son, she would have been as responsible as the one that committed the act.
I agree the mother acted inappropriately. My point was that she reacted in response to the aggressors in the situation. The aggressors had time to think about what they were doing, the mother did not-she simply reacted to the situation. I would not have taken as far as she did but perhaps she didn't see it as a real threat of harm, but of course we never know what the loonies are capable of.

I don't know what has happened to us as a society now where we think this kind of action is appropriate. I was taught "Just keep on walking. They are entitled to their opinion, mind your own business."
I agree, I am afraid our society is devolving into an accepted incivility! People have never agreed with each other, just mind your own business. As my mother used to say...not everybody has to agree with you.

WOW!, just WOW! You are seriously trying to blame Trump for this. This is exactly what the Dems and the used to be mainstream media do. Blame Trump for everything and anything, just absolutely ridiculous!!
Let me start with stating my bias...I am not a Trump fan. But would I destroy a Trump supporter's sign, or take a child's MAGA hat? Hell no! I have had many intelligent conversations with others that do not share my political beliefs. But here is the thing, I do so with respect, and I expect the same in return. No name calling. No shaming the other for their belief. And certainly no violence. It's called being an adult. I vote based off of which candidate I believe aligns closest to my belief, not their party affiliation, meaning I vote both democrat and republican based on the person. ? I know, shocking concept.
I see both political sides with idiots like all of these women. I'm sorry, I would never tell my child to take back their hat from an obviously hostile (potentially violent) person. Not blaming the victim, just stating that my parental instincts would be to protect my child from those stupid women. True, I might be stupid enough to try to get it back, but again, I would NEVER tell my child to. But how does stealing a hat from a child show that you are somehow politically superior? People need to grow up.
But the lashing out like this is a sign of a larger issue. When did acting like a spoiled child become acceptable for adults? Again, both sides have people acting like it. I am so over it.

Did someone in these threads defend the harassment or hat taking? Nope. But they did call out the reckless and ignorant reaction of the parent which, arguably, harmed the child more, because the parent acted out emotionally rather than educating her child. She made the child cry. The mother escalated the stress and conflict ... intentionally without a thought for how HER actions or words adversely affected HER child.

No, no one was defending the women. But there were points when people were saying it was dems acting out. My point was just that I've seen it on both sides, and in either case it is simply wrong.
I have issues with the entire situation. Adults lashing out at a child and a mother putting her child at risk. Just sickening across the board.

I really hate it too when adults make children into walking billboards for the adults political choice. It is a very small mind that makes their child into a pawn to support the parent's choice!
