Average TEAS V Score? Your score?

Took the TEAS V. I got a 78.

I thought oh, no. That's awful. I hadn't studied a lick, so it's better than I'd expected...for not knowing what to expect.

When I told the admissions office I got a 78, they're jaws nearly hit the floor. Apparently, the average score at my campus is between 50 and 54.

Have you guys found the same to be true? How'd you do?

82.7 overall score on my TEAS V and was accepted into a competitive program. :yeah:

Got an 80.7 my first try...looks like I'm retaking it! oops

I need around mid-80's as well to be considered competitive for UH Hilo :(

I needed a 75+ to get the maximum number of points and I passed with an 89.3%.

I don't think the test material itself is hard but you have to master the test taking style. You really have to get a study guide (I used the ATI TEAS V study guide). Sure, you may be great at math, English, and science, but if you're not familiar with the test style it will show in your score. So that's my advice. Go through the entire study guide, take the practice tests, and learn to understand the logic of the test.

Of all the sections, I think the science is the most straight forward. It's a case of either knowing it or not. And you should know most of it if you've taken bio, chem, micro, and a&p.

Time management is another huge factor since you may know everything but if you've got 10 questions left when they call the time, then you're out of luck.

I took the TEAS V today. I made a 90.7. I didn't study for it, but taking chemistry this summer was helpful to review for the few Chem questions. Except a few questions on the science portion, I think everything on the test should have been learned in high school.

On the result page, it states that the national mean is 64.3% and my program average was 64.9%. My school requires a 58.7%, and a higher score adds nothing extra to your chance of admission.

I took the TEAS-V a couple days ago and got a 92. I only used the ATI study guide and the online practice tests! I'm super relieved because I'm applying to a BSN program where the higher the TEAS score, the better.

I took it last year and got an 84%. That was a good enough score for my ASN program and most people in my school were at or above 80%. There were a few with straight A's that got a high 70% score and made it in but it's not real likely. Good job!

Well I got 75 and when I went for my nursing interview she told me she didn't need to ask me anything apparently I scored highest out of 48 people that took it and the next below me was 60 I was like dang to me it wasn't hard at all.

I scored a 60.4% my first try in April. I studied the ATI study guide and found a friend who knew chemistry to show me what I was doing wrong. Retook the TEAS in July and scored an 80.7. I'm happy with that for sure. That is a big jump for me! I was in the 99th percentile of my program, which sounds promising, but I will not know if I got accepted into my LPN program until October.

I got a 68.7. I'm really upset as I know that this probably won't be good enough to get into the LPN program at my school. I think I would be ok but I don't really feel that my study guide for the TEAS helped at all. I got the ATI teas book. Any others that may prove MORE helpful??

You should try the McGraw-Hill 5 Practice Tests book.

Does it have more helpful information than the TEAS V study guide because I felt like that was useless.
