  1. Hey guys! I requested to join the Dallas group just so that I can give you advice and answer questions that you may have before nursing school begins.
  2. Hi y'all!! I introduced myself before but I'll do it again for those not familiar with me. I am a current J1 at the Dallas campus, and I just wanted to let those of you know who are expecting acceptance to the Dallas campus that I received an email stating that the Dallas orientation is going to be on Friday, May 3rd. :) Mark your calendars! Good luck to ALL of you! And I'm sure this has been said before but PLEASE make sure you're taking this time for yourself to relax and have fun. Nursing school is AWESOME but it is also NO JOKE. I'm so thankful Spring Break is only a few days away! As always, if you have questions just ask and I will do my best to answer them as I have time to.
  3. During lecture, the professors don't care whether you have piercings or tattoos visible. But during lab and during clinicals, when you are expected to be in full uniform, you absolutely cannot have any tattoos showing or more than 2 earlobe piercings in. :) Hope that helps!
  4. I sent you a PM, deerylime!
  5. I'm not right now, but I'm hoping to get a tech job in the summer that I can transition to PRN once school starts again in the fall. :)
  6. The workload is intense, but if you stay on top of your necessary reading and assignments, and study a little bit every single day, then it's completely doable. :) I had a completely FREE weekend this past weekend, but that's rare and I doubt I'll get it again before spring break. And yes, I did take patho before this semester and I'm so thankful I did!! I HIGHLY recommend doing so, if possible; but I do know you can make it work otherwise. Several of my classmates are taking patho now and they're doing ok. :)
  7. Hi everyone!! I'm a current J1 student at TWU Dallas. Good luck to all of you as you wait for acceptance! It's a rough time but try to remember to relax and breathe - this is the last time you'll be able to do so! I wish you all the best of luck! I'm here for questions if you have any. :)
  8. Thanks for your offer!! The Dallas nursing students have a facebook group, but we already have a J2 from Dallas answering all of our questions. I feel that if we have more than one person it'll become too complicated. I'm not sure about the new Houston students though!
  9. No problem!
  10. I only know that orientation is on the 7th because it's on the TWU website... I haven't received a packet yet either. But I did hear that they should be arriving this week - one of the girls called Denton and they told her that :)
  11. I hope you get some clear answers. Good luck!
  12. I believe they have sent the second round of emails out for the Dallas campus...Dana_K just got hers yesterday and she was third on the waiting list. Have you checked your email?
  13. This is awesome! Do you mind if I share it?
  14. YESSSSS!!!! So happy for you!!!
  15. Congrats!! For the Dallas or Houston campus?
