Nobody was wearing masks at Former President Obama's superspreader event.  Not surprising considering his lack of respect for life.  The man known best for his racial division, genocide of Libyans, and murder of the Dallas 5 still hasn't found his moral compass.  He could take a page out of Former President Trump's playbook and encourage people to get vaccinated/wear masks.

A total of 74 people on Martha's Vineyard have tested positive for Covid-19 since former President Barack Obama's 60th birthday on Saturday

The spike in cases is more than any week since April on Martha's Vineyard

Health officials note it's still too early to know whether the hundreds of guests and workers at the maskless parties have contributed to the surge in cases

'At this time we're not aware of any cases connected to the Obama party,' a Tisbury health agent and boards of health spokesperson told DailyMail.com 

'It's a little too early and the only way we're going to know is through comprehensive contact tracing,' they added 

Hundreds of people attended the party, flying in from around the country and congregating under tents where partiers danced, ate and drank the night away

News flash: correlation is not causation.

I understand that partygoers had to present negative test results before entering the party. I think it was impolitic to throw such a bash - bad optics. But I want to see evidence (ie contact tracing) before I blame the outbreak on that party.

August Spike in Covid Cases Continues

A spike in Island Covid cases has closed a bevy of businesses at the peak of Summer and left two patients hospitalized with the virus for the first time since early Spring.

TestMV — the Island’s free testing site — has also received approval to move from the West Tisbury School to the Agricultural Hall, with the facility seeing a rise in test recipients in recent weeks.

Health agents have reported 54 new Covid-19 cases since Sunday, August 8, with 10 reported on Tuesday, 13 on Wednesday and now 18 new cases reported Thursday. The 54 cases reported over the past five days come after case levels reached near-zero totals at the beginning of the Summer.

But they have spiked in recent weeks, peaking during the traditionally busiest weeks on the Island.

At least four Edgartown restaurants — Alchemy, The Port Hunter, Covington and The Newes From America — have been closed at various points this past week due to Covid-19 cases among staff. The Port Hunter and The Newes From America pub have reopened; the Covington and Alchemy restaurants remain closed through next week, according to signs and Instagram posts.

Edgartown health agent Matt Poole said in an interview that the closures were part bad luck, part the unfortunate reality of working in the food service industry on Martha’s Vineyard, where employees often live in close quarters and work in multiple establishments....

Yeah because its Trump who called others "xenophobic" when he tried to stop travel early on.  It was Trump who helped mobilize riots and terror attacks from BLM.  It was Trump who packed nursing homes with Covid positive patients in between sexually assaulting women.

The death toll from Covid in America would be in the millions if it wasn't for Trump.  Not to mention the lives he saved worldwide through his foreign policy unlike Obama who probably enjoyed murdering the Libyan people as he is on tape celebrating the life of a genocidal terrorist.

That's too much baloney.  

The American death toll from covid in 2020 was twice what it could have been with competent and responsible leadership.  You clearly don't know any more about the pandemic and current events than you know about history aeb your remarks.  Trump was not interested in encouraging the American people to mitigate the disease with masking and social distancing and that killed people.  Denying that reality only reflects badly upon you.  Maybe you don't realize that Trump's covid lies and failure are what cost him the election.

So, we have a party where everyone was tested.  I agree that it was a stupid idea.  And now we have found restaurant workers who have infected their clientele and not one case reported from the Obama party.  And do you have any idea of how many people come to MV for the last 2 weeks of August?  Lies, lies, lies from you again.

Martha's Vineyard Covid Update--- article lists locations clusters traced to if one wants to avoid those locations to decrease COVID exposure.

Of course it was from Obamas party. Everyone else is not allowed/supposed to have large gatherings like that but Obama is somehow special, just like all the other special Dem Politicians (Gov Newsom, his Aunt Pelosi, Gov Whitmore, Mayor Lightfoot etc) who also did things they outlawed for us lowly people. And of course there is never "evidence" because no one goes looking for evidence (or at least hard enough to find it).
