Army Reserve OML FY2017

Hello!

I am starting this thread separate from another thread that has been posted on numerous times. I recently heard from my nurse corps recruiter that they would soon be pulling selected people off the OML and commissioning them within the next couple months or so. We are currently half way through the fiscal year and this is apparently when the army starts to make decisions on their current needs to complete the army nurse corps new officer spots for that year. Just a reminder, the OML list is made of officer candidates that were selected to commission but were not offered a spot at that time. As I recall, there were a decent amount of us in this position after the November and December boards! I personally am on the OML list after the December boards for a 66H and am from the Nashville, TN area :)

If you leave a comment below, you will get updates when others post on here! Feel free to share anything you hear from your recruiters, peers, etc.

Good luck to all!

I am also waiting the results of this board as a 66p.

My packet process has been going on since January 2016.

Hopefully i get selected. Recruiter told with me with work experience I have, I should get CPT which is a big difference from e-5!

I'm also patiently waiting for board results. 66H Reserve here. First time boarded. Thanks for some much information. My recruiter is not close by and hasn't given me much information about the process. I was told we need congressional approval after we get selected. Does that sound right?

I dont think it needs congressional approval. If your packet made it to this board that happen at the beginning of the month, I think you need to just wait to see if your selected.

If selected you go to meps retape/weight, get any other documentation that wasn't approved prior to board approved, and swear in. Some people have a truly complete packet when it hits the board others have a packet that is missing a document and selection is contingent on completing X document and the you swear in.

Myself, if selected, I go to meps redo height weight, swear in, and its history from there!

All commissions are approved by Congress. The process is called "scrolling."

in any case i am pretty confident they go with opinion of the board?

not familiar with the commission side of house, only time i have is 6 years as an 11B

Thanks for the information.

Daitch- I also have a complete packet. Good luck to you.

As far as I know, it's a formality! :)

Does anyone know when the board results will come out?

I checked in with my recruiter on Monday. she didn't hear anything back at that time. she said "it could be three days or three weeks there's no specific time frame". unfortunately its hurry up and wait.

I was in the Oct 31 board and heard on the 16th that I was selected and now just have to wait on the scroll release. Anyone have insight on how long that takes usually?

I found out on the 16th also. Congratulations to everyone else that got selected too!

I was told by my recruiter that hopefully I would be sworn in some time before the new year but have no idea of what to really expect after that... Anybody else have any knowledge they could share?

Thats weird. I called my recruiter today and nothing has changed and that it is still waiting for results of the board at this time. I was literally on the phone with him as he was checking the results a few hours ago.

I do not know how some can find out while others still don't know
