Army Reserve OML FY2017

Hello!

I am starting this thread separate from another thread that has been posted on numerous times. I recently heard from my nurse corps recruiter that they would soon be pulling selected people off the OML and commissioning them within the next couple months or so. We are currently half way through the fiscal year and this is apparently when the army starts to make decisions on their current needs to complete the army nurse corps new officer spots for that year. Just a reminder, the OML list is made of officer candidates that were selected to commission but were not offered a spot at that time. As I recall, there were a decent amount of us in this position after the November and December boards! I personally am on the OML list after the December boards for a 66H and am from the Nashville, TN area :)

If you leave a comment below, you will get updates when others post on here! Feel free to share anything you hear from your recruiters, peers, etc.

Good luck to all!

They really are. Just order whatever size you would wear in Nike running shoes. :)

Thank you!

It's official! I signed my contract for the Army Reserves as a 66P (family nurse practitioner). My rank is Captain. I am excited for this new experience and the opportunity to serve my country. :woot:

Congrats!!! I'm a 66p also. Do you know your unit?

Congrats to everyone who came of the list!

I'm a 66p and I was on the OML but I had to re-board. Does anyone know what the need is like for this year? I am hoe I have a better shot this year.

I don't know the current quota. I can try and find out on Monday for you. I hope it all goes well for you this year. I know what it is like to have to wait another year. Good luck!!!!!

little update. I misstated that a retired officer had submitted my application independently. he did submitted it via a healthcare recruiter. the board previously mentioned, if I am to assume that I am going on on that (purely assumption), when would I hear something to the positive or negative? I realize this method of application may be unfamiliar with the participants of this forum but I was assured it was submitted legitimately I just haven't had much of a follow up. again 7 months, I have to feel they wouldn't keep me in the dark if they could just say NO. thanks in advance

If it was submitted via a healthcare recruiter, then the members of this forum are very familiar with that route; that is how we all get submitted. :) You should check with your healthcare recruiter to see if you have been boarded already - I think you said October/November, correct? You should be notified when board results are released. For me, my board was in mid-November and I was notified of my selection by my recruiter on 1 December.

October/November was given to me here on this forum. Anyone know anything about that board that commenses in 48 hrs? What kind of timeframe after the board meets will I be notified yay or nay? Thanks in advance.

Last thing how much weight would a retired 2 Star have insofar as the application process. Thanks
