Army Reserve OML FY2017

Published

Hello!

I am starting this thread separate from another thread that has been posted on numerous times. I recently heard from my nurse corps recruiter that they would soon be pulling selected people off the OML and commissioning them within the next couple months or so. We are currently half way through the fiscal year and this is apparently when the army starts to make decisions on their current needs to complete the army nurse corps new officer spots for that year. Just a reminder, the OML list is made of officer candidates that were selected to commission but were not offered a spot at that time. As I recall, there were a decent amount of us in this position after the November and December boards! I personally am on the OML list after the December boards for a 66H and am from the Nashville, TN area :)

If you leave a comment below, you will get updates when others post on here! Feel free to share anything you hear from your recruiters, peers, etc.

Good luck to all!

I haven't heard anything either. I already know where my base is. I'm just waiting on the official yes. It's strange. Update: I talked to my recruiter and she said she's patiently waiting for decisions. She had three other nurses on this board. She said if someone had the list I can check if I'm on it. But she didn't say how people have the list?

For those who found out..what is your speciality?

I'm a 66P.

Specializes in Pediatrics.

99% of people know where they would be doing drill if selected. That's not really indicative of your chances of being selected. It takes about 6-8 weeks after knowing you're selected to commission and then after that it'll be 3-4 months until you have orders and actually start drilling. The army is definitely not a fast paced organization when it comes to getting paperwork done.

I will be a 66S

To those who were selected , CONGRATS!! Quick question - active or reserves?

I talked to my recruiter earlier in the week and she didn't know anything yet. I'm waiting to hear back active duty 66T (ER).
