Hello!
I am starting this thread separate from another thread that has been posted on numerous times. I recently heard from my nurse corps recruiter that they would soon be pulling selected people off the OML and commissioning them within the next couple months or so. We are currently half way through the fiscal year and this is apparently when the army starts to make decisions on their current needs to complete the army nurse corps new officer spots for that year. Just a reminder, the OML list is made of officer candidates that were selected to commission but were not offered a spot at that time. As I recall, there were a decent amount of us in this position after the November and December boards! I personally am on the OML list after the December boards for a 66H and am from the Nashville, TN area :)
If you leave a comment below, you will get updates when others post on here! Feel free to share anything you hear from your recruiters, peers, etc.
Good luck to all!
Congrats! I'm also a 66P Reserve and frustrated. It's my second run and I'm back on the OML. I started all my paperwork and so on about April of 2016.
I guess I'm one of the 22 people on the list. Definitely only have a few yrs left until my age disqualifies me. I have a second recruiter and she knows nothing. My last one was sent to Florida so I lost her. I'm in the DFW area Texas.
Always looking for more info. Apparently I can find out more here then from my recruiter.
I was selected. 66PAnd I am waiting for the official orders to commission.
Congrats to everyone! And for those who are waiting I hope you guys here back sooner than later.
Congrats!!! :)
Question: do you mind sharing how many yrs of NP experiece you have and Nurse yrs?
Also, how many times you boarded?
Just trying to see what my chances are. I feel as if I had pretty strong recommendation letters and many yrs of experience and still not being selected the second time around and being put on the OML was surprising and frustrating. Trying to see what one could do better next time.
It definitely has nothing to do with your letters of rec or lack of qualifications. Certain specialties are just not in demand, 66p being one of them. I was put on the oml as a 66h (also in low demand) and had letters of rec from a current army major and retired brigadier general. Hang in there! Marine7 and I didn't find out we were off the oml until august of the year we were boarded so we just hung out there for about 10 months

Thank you!!
I was very surprised to get selected. I was in the OML for 2016 and never re-boarded. So this is my 2nd board. My recruiter let me know it was a "large" and competitive group of candidates that applied. This is actually my second recruiter..my other one retired.
So the only thing that was different this year was instead of 3 recommendations I had 5 instead. Mostly from my previous supervisors.
I have
I hope you get off the list in the upcoming months..I know the wait was killing me.
