Are you going to dress up for Halloween at work?

Published

Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I'm excited that my boss has given us the OK to wear a Halloween costume to work, provided it's not inappropriate, nor gets in the way of us doing our jobs.

Are you going to wear a costume to work? If so, what as?

I'm off this year so I get to dress up with my kiddos at home. I have in the past though. I've seen everything, witches, pink panthers, even Uncle Fester. Ewwww. Have fun!

I'm going as a nurse. White dress, white hose, white shoes, and cap. I did it last year and everyone- staff, pts., security, housekeeping, food service- had a great time with it. Our entire floor is considering doing it this year. Except for a few very elderly co-workers everyone got the joke. When I came home I took my son out trick or treating in the same outfit, my neighbors thought it was funny.

One hospital I work at won't allow costumes for security reasons. I tend to agree with them on this one.

No costumes, but plenty of people wear seasonal scrubs and jewelry.

I think my black eyes circles are enough of a fright, forget the costume.

nope. i will be walking my kids around trick or treating. i have never dressed up at work. just don't think it would fly should we have to go to the OR

I will never forget the Halloween that one of our orthopedic doctors came in to round on his patients dressed up like a pilgrim! That was truly interesting.

The male doctor that came around in a cap, earrings, white nursing dress, white hose, and white nursing shoes with a slight heel was an absolute riot. The fact that this guy was in his early 60's and was perceived as "null personality" was what made it even more classic.

Don't work Halloween this year, but last year I went to work as Dorothy from the Wizard of OZ. The kids loved it. :)
