Im currently a beginning nursing student part of a fast-tracked course.
one of the reasons, that i commenced this course, firstly is for patient care, secondly to be able to one-day provide for my family and kids....which i ain't having yet...still single.
this is my point.....
still searching for Miss Right....
the question is are females at all attracted to male nurses?
or seriously should i just hush it all up, enjoy the status in the community of being a healthcare professional,
enjoy the pay, and live well...........but direct myself to a more male dominated profession for females to respect me, such as do a specialisation as a paramedic?
i just don't know, but certainly want my future female partner not to take the mickey out of me.
is it just better to mebbe, focus on other healthcare professionals as potential partners, as they would be more understanding.
romantically challenged.........a tough question.......would respect anyone with some input....because this one
is a thorn in my side.....i sometimes feel that my masculinity is being threatened in the eyes of other females...
that need to compensate in other areas such as ....ambulance volunteering (which I love!)...or doing house renovations and DIY projects (which I also enjoy for the relaxation of it all).
any takers for this difficult question?
My head is spinning round and round and round.
Future healthcare professional.
The sexiest thing in any male is for him to be good in his own skin, to feel competent and to have pursued his goals with ambition and intent.
My being attracted to you or not attracted to you would have NOTHING to do with your profession and EVERYTHING to do with your self confidence. So get good with being who you are and the potential mates will show up.
If YOU don't see yourself as okay and sexy and your profession as masculine, take charge and viable mate material, why should I? Your being a nurse or not being a nurse has nothing to do with it. How you feel about yourself will to a great degree determine how I feel about you.
Okay, any woman who will laugh at you for being a nurse is completely shallow and NOT worth worrying about. I personally have known a hot male nurse or two, and the fact that they are a nurse is definitely not a turn-off. And I agree with the other poster that said that lots of women like a man who is caring and nurturing. I would MUCH rather date a male nurse than a doctor, personally. I think male nurses are great, and we need more of you, so keep at it!
1. I respect guys who go into nursing, nursing could really use more men!:)
2. Most people (men and women) who go into nursing, care for/about people, are smart and usually make a decent living. What's not to like?
3. I'm not into men, it doesn't matter if they are nurses or not. I kinda like women more.
And men being nurses doesn't make me like them any more or less! Well maybe a bit more, but in a friendly/colleague kinda way!
Dear CamaroNurse,
Hmmm, Thai sounds nice....lol.
But im a bit closer to Thailand than you are, living on the sunny beaches of Australia.
Maybe, you'd like to fly over, do a nursing travelling stint on our beyutiful beaches, earn a packet....
experienced travel nurses get paid extremely well here....the shortage is scary.
and....hehe.....even go to the real Authentic Thailand, for the real Thai cuisine.
Awesome response tho, thanku
starting to enjoy my choice more and more thanks to babes like you, smart, intelligent and .......got
that certain je ne sais quoi.....female nurses have always been my favourite people, and definetly a firm
target for a marriage partner.
It's just that you guys are non-pretentious, genuine, active, stable and yet so damn beautifully feminine.
The perfect date.
Merci beaucoup ma chere, je vous envoie mes sentiments les meilleurs. A tout a l'heure? Qui sait, le monde est si unprevisable

I think you need to do some soul searching and decide if nursing is your dream career or not. If it is, then go for it, and find a woman who isn't so shallow as to judge someone for their career choice. Being almost done with school, and having had the pleasure of being in class with 3 males, I can tell you I admire these guys for their dedication, passion, and strength. Wonderful qualities any girl looks for in a guy! Good luck!!!!!
