Im currently a beginning nursing student part of a fast-tracked course.
one of the reasons, that i commenced this course, firstly is for patient care, secondly to be able to one-day provide for my family and kids....which i ain't having yet...still single.
this is my point.....
still searching for Miss Right....
the question is are females at all attracted to male nurses?
or seriously should i just hush it all up, enjoy the status in the community of being a healthcare professional,
enjoy the pay, and live well...........but direct myself to a more male dominated profession for females to respect me, such as do a specialisation as a paramedic?
i just don't know, but certainly want my future female partner not to take the mickey out of me.
is it just better to mebbe, focus on other healthcare professionals as potential partners, as they would be more understanding.
romantically challenged.........a tough question.......would respect anyone with some input....because this one
is a thorn in my side.....i sometimes feel that my masculinity is being threatened in the eyes of other females...
that need to compensate in other areas such as ....ambulance volunteering (which I love!)...or doing house renovations and DIY projects (which I also enjoy for the relaxation of it all).
any takers for this difficult question?
My head is spinning round and round and round.
Future healthcare professional.
And that kind of response my friends, is how to blow it with women.
How does his comment blow it with women?
This is why I am so jaded with the romantic world because I am only attracted to women but most of them are so vain and superficial to let a simple comment cause men to "blow it with them".
I mean... news flash.... the world dosen't freaking revolve around women. Why is it that so many of them act like arrongant jerks? ie. "oh you said one thing that is not a perfect statement and I therefore, in my infinite wisdom, decide to make a judgment on your entire charcter as a person"... that statement is not directed towards you poster
I don't mean to sound hostile towards you... this is just something that really disturbs me.
DISCLAIMER: No disrespect to all the amazing women on this forum... I think you all know what I am talking about.
Well, I am married and am pretty darn in love with the guy, so I don't look around at my male classmates. However, if I was single, I see no reason why I would consider male classmates less appealing than any other guys. In fact, I might be more interested because they can relate to what I am going through and what I am interested in. Although my hubby is not in nursing, he is in health care, and it is nice for him to be familiar with what I talk about on a day to day basis. We're both geeks in our own way (I'm a medical geek), so never underestimate the power of "talking nerdy" to a girl...especially when you're in nursing school...heheh!
Great comments Y'all,
thanks for feedback.
Keep it coming!
At times my fast-track course feels like
having twice the sex with half the foreplay.
It just is so fast paced that the brain goes
twlight zone like with my recent 'love letter' lol.
How the hell did u blokes manage to get through
the course with everyone being so nice to each other 24/7 (apart from futurenurse....lol).
Recently feeling an acute need for my adrenaline
hit, as a first aid volunteer with ambulance service.
Nursing ATM seems so cotton-wooled, ppl being nice
to each other 24/7, I mean I'm missing the action of the
field in the ambulance.
I guess I'm still a student tho, can't expect
too much from the first semester.
Dear CamaroNurse,Hmmm, Thai sounds nice....lol.
But im a bit closer to Thailand than you are, living on the sunny beaches of Australia.
Maybe, you'd like to fly over, do a nursing travelling stint on our beyutiful beaches, earn a packet....
experienced travel nurses get paid extremely well here....the shortage is scary.
and....hehe.....even go to the real Authentic Thailand, for the real Thai cuisine.
Awesome response tho, thanku
I've actually been to Australia! I studied abroad there in college, and it's actually where I developed my taste for Thai. I do love the beaches...and the weather...
Really?Did you do an undergrad there or other?
Whereabouts in Australia?
So you'd know about our healthcare shortages then ...
Failure is a far greater teacher than success....heh futurenurse? Lol
It was only a winter session, during my senior year of undergrad studies. I was in Sydney, Cairns and Melbourne (and a brief layover in Brisbane).
I actually didn't learn much about healthcare shortages, but this was more than four years ago.

Trying way too hard my dear and worrying too much about trying to LOOK like what you think a woman wants than just being yourself and finding the woman who wants YOU. I suspect you are quite young. Enjoy the journey.
