Anyone thinking of going? Anyone been to past NSNA annual conferences, as students, and recommend them?

unfortunatly our chapter is only taking two reps, it is also during the school year and I can't miss any classes(ya know missing 2 clinicals=failing) Of course i would love to go...but oh well :) sounds like fun though...tell us al about it when you get back!
No guarantee that I can go. It falls outside of our break too. It isn't cheap even if my chapter foots the bill -- I was a bit shocked at the cost but I haven't been to a professional conference in ages.
I am hoping it works out so I can go.

In my program, they count hours spent at the conference as clinical hours :) You might look into getting the same allowance if you really want to go. I've never been, but I've heard it's fun

I'd love to go! I would if I didn't have a husband and 2 kids, lol. Sounds like it'll be fun! I know a couple people that are going from my class.

I've never been to the annual conference, but had a great time at our state conference this past October (CA). I'm hoping to make it to the annual conference in April.

i'm going. The conferences are great for networking with hospitals and schools outside of your home state. its also good to get a break from school and learn about different aspects of nursing. we dont get credit at our school, but we have been coordinating this with our profs since last semester. If you show them that you really want to go, they should be helpful.

I too am going to the national convention in April. I live in Florida and attend Keiser University. We also get to count two of the convention days as clinical hours spent. I went to the state convention in Daytona last year and had a blast. It's not only a break from class and clinicals but the reviews for NCLEX are well worth it. Hope to see you there!!
hey tracy, I attend Keiser in Orlando and I will be there at the conference if everything works out ok!

I am going to the convention in April and serving as a delegate.... busy week! If anyone would like to split a room, PM me. It looks like I might be the only one from my school that is going, so the hotel room just got twice as expensive!
