Hey all
Took the test today and it went to 75. Everyone keeps congratulating me but I don't want to go there yet. Has anyone here failed with a 75 q shut off?
Thanks
Nerves are bad, beer is good.
smf,Well that really makes me feel A LOT better in a way. I wasn't able to sleep last night, and I haven't ate anything yet today. I feel like CRAP!!! I have never fail a test in all my life, but with this one i am almost like 100% sure that I failed. I started thinking I might have had about 6 or so priority questions, and seriously the rest were teaching. I made soooooo many supid mistakes. I never had a problem with anxiety but just walking in to that place is so surreal. Felt like I was going to jail. I worked today as a NGRNP, and I wasn't even in the mindset to care for the patients. All I was thinking about was this. Did I pass??? Or did I not??? I know everyone feels like this after taking it, maybe I shouldn't have looked some of the questions up and I would've felt better. I will be able to look at the Alabama Board of Nursing to find out tomorrow around 8-10 to find out what the verdict is. Something is telling me...... its not good............
I know nothing anyone can say will make you feel better and less anxious right now, but I (and im sure quite a few others lurking on this site) will be thinking of you tomorrow! Wishing you the best of luck and Im sure we will be hearing good news soon!
An anxious cyber-space nclex tester has posted an ad about how scared sick she is of waiting for test results. Which of the following would indicate the further teaching is necessary?A) "I've gone from beer to vodka and now I'm taking Tylenol for my headache"
B) "My BUN was 1.355 so I should dilute it in vodka."
C) "Digitalis? What is that?"
D)"My heart is beating fast, even after the ginko I got from the guy on the corner but I'm certain that these 12 bananas and box of dried apricots will help"
All of the above! lol
Hi Nurseboy! Just wondering how long it took for you to get results? I took NCLEX last week (June 26th) in England and I cant get results out of my mind. Dont know whether they take longer to get results to international candidates?Am already a Staff Nurse here so it is sooooo frustrating!!
I also got 75 questions only and answered in an hour.....
Arrrggghhhhhhhhhhhhh:mad:
Sorry to say, but I do think it takes longer for international nurses to get their results...something about social security numbers and such...I'll have to look to find exactly.
But, on a much brighter note, I really feel you passed. If you have experience and shut off at 75....excellent chance you passed. Look through the various 75 question threads on this board...you will likely see person after person who took a test that sounds very like the one you took, questions wise, and see how many of them passed....about 99.9%
Though that won't keep you from fretting...I know I still did, it may ease your nerves a bit and allow you to think optimistically, at points at least. You passed...I just know it....

All depends on which state you took the exam for. CA takes several weeks for international to get results but if in a state which allows quick results you can get unofficial result from Pearsonvue for I believe $7.50. I took AZ and had my result in a couple of days
WOW, I don't know how!!! Maybe its a messup. But according to the BON I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So if you don't get a lot of prioritization questions, there is still a hope. I had mainly teaching, every other one was teaching!!! So for those that are wondering teaching are higher level questions, evidently. I took 75 questions and was for sure that I failed!!! THANKS soo much everyone for the support!!!
Tony, hey....... should be like this now.....

Thanks Molly. Yea I have looked thru posts from people who have only answered 75 questions and my gut feeling is that I must have passed coz surely I couldnt have been below standard with 95% certaintly after only 75??? I have checked with the California BON but they dont offer quick results so I will just have to sit it out!! I am glad I only told my family and close friends when my exam was - I will just surprise them all when I get results! Anyway will keep everyone updated! Angie. :studyowl:
