  1. :biere::yelclap:congrats!!!!:cheers::yelclap:
  2. Sorry to say, but I do think it takes longer for international nurses to get their results...something about social security numbers and such...I'll have to look to find exactly. But, on a much brighter note, I really feel you passed. If you have experience and shut off at 75....excellent chance you passed. Look through the various 75 question threads on this board...you will likely see person after person who took a test that sounds very like the one you took, questions wise, and see how many of them passed....about 99.9% Though that won't keep you from fretting...I know I still did, it may ease your nerves a bit and allow you to think optimistically, at points at least. You passed...I just know it....
  3. Hmmm...I never had to call the BRN for the test results. I did have to call to find my misdirected IP and Candidate to test packet several times back at the beginning of the year...so I could work and make my appointment to sit the NCLEX. That was an adventure in and of itself... No, I just went to the BRN site...got my pass/fail status there. As for the results not being to them yet...maybe the test site hasn't transmitted them or maybe your school hasn't sent in all the required info...like transcripts. Or maybe my late response had invalidated all of the above and you do now have your results.
  4. I found out three days after that I had passed via the BRN website...envelope w/ certificate by the following monday...
  5. Cress101...just hang in there and don't forget to breath...I was anxiety ridden and planning for the next test too until 4 o'clock this morning. I don't think there are many people who come out of that test with anything but doubt and anxiety. Three days seems to be the magic number for results right now...When did you take your test? I went on http://www.rn.ca.gov/online/online.htm and on verify professional license...put in your last name, full name...whatever...my name starts with ab so i was right at the top. Relief is an understatement...good luck!
  6. :cheers::cheers: Found out early this AM while working at the hospital...I passed!!! And the results only took 3 days!!! Relief is an understatement!!!!
  7. I don't know about any with particularly good online programs...I took a few courses through Las Positas and Chabot. I know American River in sac has a good selection, Modesto Jr. College...lots...really, you just have to check out all the schools until you find the course you need. To find out if credits are transferable go to assist.org. There you can put in the school you are taking a course in and the school you want to transfer it to and it will let you know if it is transferable.
  8. Gift certificate for a massage...that's what I did for my preceptor. She loved it...
  9. They won't finalize your results until they have your complete application packet. Livescan, transcripts, photo...background check...all of it. Until that happens you wait, I'm sorry to say. In California they let us sit for the exam before they really know we are eligible and then wait after the test until they determine if we are. I really think this is a bit backwards. I know if most students realized this they would much rather wait a few extra weeks to take the test than have to wait a few extra weeks after they have tested to get the results. I'm not sure why they do it this way in California, other than the sheer volume of applications they must have to process. From what I have been able to ascertain the BRN is not a very well staffed dept. Not that their staff isn't good, just that there aren't enough of them. Try getting through on their phone system sometime. I have spent many, many hours trying to speak to a human in the past when it became apparent that my IP and my Candidate bulletin had been lost somewhere between them and me. They work very hard but really need more support staff. The best you can do is get your school to get the transcripts and all other info needed sent in. Call the BRN and find out what is missing from your packet and make sure yourself it gets there. Then they can start verifying the app and you will be closer to a resolution. Best of luck to you!!! I feel for you!
  10. Best of luck to you Vektor!!! Hopefully you are getting a good night's sleep right now!!!
  11. Yeah..you can verify your license at the BRN website... http://www2.dca.ca.gov/pls/wllpub/wllqryna$lcev2.startup?p_qte_code=RN&p_qte_pgm_code=7800 They update it every night at like 4AM I believe...sometimes it takes a longggggg time though. I know some who have been up on the site within 48 hours and some who didn't go up for five weeks....luck of the draw and such. I am a bit less freaked, at least I am trying to convince myself I am ...and preparing for the worst. The wait period is 45 days now...better than the 90 it could be. Here's to neither of us having to deal with that wait period though :cheers: best of luck to you!
  12. The BRN website has all the info you need... here is the FAQ for first time licensees... http://www.rn.ca.gov/lic/lic-faqs.htm#faqs and the Application packet...you'll need Adobe Acrobat to open it... http://www.rn.ca.gov/lic/lic-exam.htm click on Application for Licensure by Examination and just below it is the Livescan fingerprint info... I would wait until the beginning of the last semester to send stuff in though. The BRN is a bit overwhelmed and sometimes things get lost, especially if they are hanging around for a long time waiting on transcripts etc to complete the packet... Good luck and enjoy your last semester!!!
  13. Wow...congrats to all who passed..and were lucky enough to get such FAST results. I raise my glass to you all!!!:cheers:
