i'm having the hardest time staying focus with thanksgiving here. i tried to study last night but it just was not happening. i have my final nursing exam in 2 weeks followed by hesi so i really need to buckle down. i guess i could give myself today off and try to attempt my normal schedule on friday or saturday.
on another note: have a good thanksgiving everyone. :hrnsmlys:

I don't study on holidays. it's not fun.
it's about eating and drinking and shopping.
don't kill yourself, you need a break too

You are so right, but at the same time I haven't really been studying alot at all just do to that dang senioritis. I think I will give myself today and tomorrow off and just do flash cards and light, light studying. I guess something is better then nothing at this point. Dec. 8th ( Final exam) can't get here soon enough.
You will ace it!
and happy holiday to you too, do you like turkeys lol

Thank you and I loooove turkeys. :heartbeat
I burned a big bird last year with apple saline and some stuffing gauzes, and was my first time to do it! all my families helped to skin graft her legs...and they ate all the stuffing gauze!...when I was done with physical assessment, I saw this bird without lower extremities! I triaged it by eating two of her wings, and then it looked so much better and bird didn't complain...on a scale of 1 to 10, she was silence and into my digestive tract she rests...

I am having a horrible time getting motivated enough to study! I have an English paper due Monday and a math test on Tuesday and I really should start studying.... soon as dinner is done tonight I *have* to get started.

I had a rule. No nursing books went home with me over break. No notes no nothing. It was my time to decompress before finals.

Take the weekend off. You'll probably do better later if you take a break now.
I've been taking the weekend/night off since classes resumed in August, lol. This has been a much better semester for it too.

fwiw, your faculty is probably not taking the weekend off:d.
once i was grading care plans on a sunday and my 3rd-grader wandered in. "whatcha doing, mom?"
"oh, just some homework.
(aghast) "you have weekend homework???"
yes, child, teachers always have weekend homework . think about it: if i have 8 students in two clinicals, i have 16 care plans a week to grade and return by monday. if i give them the attention they deserve, that will take me between 12-16 hours.
