Anyone else going crazy waiting for nursing school to begin?

I start nursing school in August. I am going crazy sitting around waiting for school to start. I didn't take any summer classes and now I wish I did. I don't have a job and find myself wondering around the house all day or sitting at the computer reading allnurses. Anyone else going nuts waiting for August?

That would be nice to have a class like that. I know nursing is very hard and any prep class would help

I know what you all mean... My classes start on the 18th of August and I'm eager to get going. I've bought a few books like 'A&P for Dummies' to help me study up a bit...

I really am just ready to get this show on the road!

I am just enjoying this time before school starts back in the Fall. So I am looking at this time as an opportunity to get all the fun out of me. Once school starts back, I am going to be very focused, so I won't have time to do anything fun. I am excited to return and know that the first day will be here before we know it. I am also using the break to save money, gotta avoid those loans at all cost.

Hi, everyone!

I'm new to the site, and haven't really been on very much. This is my first post, so hi! :D lol

I am starting the nursing program in August, and my school has already given us homework. We had to buy the Henke's Med-Math book and learn the first 10 chapters so we will be able to pass the dosages quiz the FIRST day of school. There are only 13 chapters in the whole book, and we have to know the first 10. So, that's what I'm doing all summer. It's kind of boring memorizing all the drug calculation stuff and conversions, but worth it! Good luck to us all!! :)

I am going crazy as well. I think we all are! :bugeyes: I start school on Aug.25th. Its my last semester!!!!! Ugh so excited! I have done an internship in June, and now taking a class. No job, so I have alot of spare time, and I can't stand it!!!!

trust me, when school starts u will be WISHING for it to be over. I was like u in the beginning. Now, i enjoy relaxing and sipping lemonade on the beach every day!!

I'm fininishing up A&P II, which is at night...Ugh! I'm so glad my nursing classes are during the day. Also, I'm studing Med calculations so I have have a head start on that exam. We get three chances to pass. So, I want to pass on first try. A&P II is so much to remember. I will never take a science class over the summer again! I only have one week off before NS. So, hopefully I will make a smooth transition to the NS work load.

I bought my littman classic II SE today, and a few extra goodies. Next week I will go buy my *ALL* white embroidered scrubs. I ordered the Kathrine Hagel (sp) lab coat today. I have to go at the end of the month for my last Hep B, and my drug screen is on Aug 13. I also still need to order a couple of books, and buy some shoes to go with the scrubs.

I am excited, scared, nervous and ready to go all at once.

lol, not literally every day and no i have only completed one semester..Im just trying to relax as much as possible and de-stress myself, before fall starts!

Ok, I see you are in Texas. They make you take a drug test b/4 you go into school? Thats crazy. All white uniform? Thats nice, ours is Teal, and not everyone looks good in Teal (me being one of them :) )

i start august 25. i have been taking classes and working all summer, so i have been keeping busy. lately i have been driving myself up the wall trying to get organized to go. i will be moving to the town the school is in, so i have to get everything packed and ready. i feel like i'm being way too compulsive, but i can't help it. i am ready to go!
