I'm an LPN considering moving to ST. Louis. I was wondering what LPNs hourly pay is like working in LTC and Agency work. Trying to figure out what I could realistically ask for when interviewing. Also shift differentials for evenings.

Thanks for replies forks. Well because of circumstances beyond my control, i did not complete my LPN program in philadelphia. So, ive moved to Ashland MO, stying with family. On the bright side i challendged the CMT exam. Im now a CMT at a great LT care facility. I was accepted to and will attend Nichols Career Center LPN program in Jeff City. So, i guess ill get my IV cert after all. Unfortunatly i have to go through LNP program again. In my pursut to necome a nurse i have gone throughh two.semesters of an RN program and an entire LPN program to no avail. This is my last stop. If something happens this time im.done. i still dont know what called me into nursing but if i had to do it all over again, i think i may not have answered to call.

OK folks. Who offers an IV certification course in Columbia/Jeff City area? LPN Moving to area and it seems this is what employers are looking for there. So where do I go? Thanks in advance.

It's just that new grads here are making $26hr and $34 agency? I really want to move there. I know I would enjoy a better quality of life in Columbia. It just that I've worked so hard to accomplish becoming an LPN. I can imagine working hard and still living from check to check. I just wish I could get feedback from more single LPN who are living alone and making it on $13 an hr.

I was wondering if you could give me the name of some of the agencies you mentioned that hire LPNs. That is really where I think I'd like to work for as soon as I can. I'll be in columbia area. Thanks.

I'll be done in Febuary and moving there in March. I can't wait. I love the area. I'll be in Ashland with family at unroll I can fond a place. Thanks for link.

Would I be able to support myself making that there? I'm applying to RN programs in area. I need to know if ill be able to pay rent and eat while I do it. Any salary info would be great...thanks.

Im in a LPN grogram in PA. I Graduate in July. I was wondering if I would be able to work as an LPN while I wait to sitt fot Boards. I know that RN students can be hired as a GN. Can LPN students as well? Just trying to find out. Thanks:sofahider
